“Great stop outside the hectic city of Edinburgh.”

This hotel is an excellent high end Marriott which caters to local and international conferences as well as leisure travelers. Two great golf courses and a well designed spa and pool make this a resort location with a private club feel. The rooms are large by Scottish standards and are American standard top of the line rooms. The lobby, bar and restaurant are in an old baronial mansion which is quite charming. The hotel staff was first rate and as friendly as you could ask for. The rooms were as advertised and the beds were to die for! We will definitely stay here again.

“Great hotel”

Stayed for 2 nights in August with my mother and 2 kids. I found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The grounds around the building are lovely and im sure the golf course is is great too. The location was ideal for us as it is close to the zoo, which was on our to do list, but i dont know how convenient it is for getting to the city centre. We didnt eat in the restaurant within to hotel so cannot comment in it but the bistro restaurant above the country club was really nice. Breakfast had a great selection of foods in to choose from. I would definitely go back.

“Relaxing retreat”

Lovely hotel on the outskirts of Edinburgh. Great for weddings and relaxing weekends. They also had activities to keep children and golf addicts happy! Perfect!

“Would stay again and again.”

Friendly staff, beautiful grounds, great breakfast, great value. Would stay again and would recommend to anyone planning a trip. A little out of the way however there is a bus that can take you where ever you need to go in 10 to 15 minutes. The grounds are great, you can go exploring bring your camera, theres a pool for the kids a sauna and steam room for you. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff was very friendly and helpful. You will not be sorry if you stay here.

Hotel was grand and charming, staffed with friendly and helpful people that made our stay in Scotland a special time for us. We would recommend this hotel along with its beautiful golf courses without reservation!

“Quiet and relaxing”

Overall i was impressed with this hotel. Its location is great if you have your own transport. There was a park and ride just down the road so getting into Edinburgh was easy. Driving into the city only took around 10 minutes but i would recommend the park and ride during the day. The staff were all friendly and the hotel itself was quiet and very clean. Our room was not exactly as i expected with no view except into a little courtyard but other than that it was good.

As yet I have never been more than satisfied with the all round experience of any Marriott hotel with have stayed at & the Dalmahoy was no exception.

“Great relaxing break”

We had a great stay at Marriot Dalmahoy between Xmas and New Year. The staff were very friendly and attentive and made us feel very welcome. Our room was clean and well appointed, and the whole hotel was decorated very tastefully for Xmas. My only minor complaint would be about the cost of meals and wine in the cafe type restaurant. The cost was a little excessive in our opinion, and the quality was average. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxing break.

“A great hotel, without a great price tag”

Although we only stayed here two days it was very comfotable and the staff were couteous, friendly and helpful. The cost of extras was as-high-as-normal for a hotel of this class, but the quality of everything we ate, drank and used was excellent.
