“Good motel at a low price”

We stayed at the Super 8 for just one night, its an average motel. We like it for its budget pricing. There is nothing fancy about this place, but it was clean, staff was very friendly. The room we got, was freshly renovated, new carpets, new bathroom, so that was a bonus. We are people who don't need much to be satisfied. All we are after is a good price and a clean room. And that is what we got. We have stayed in Super 8 motels all over Canada and we never had any complaints.

“Good for a quick visit....”

The Super 8 usually delivers decent quality at a decent price, and this one was no exception. Efforts have been made to update the common areas, and I had no complaints about the lobby/breakfast area, etc. The rooms were a little bit tired around the edges, but were clean and comfortable. It's a little bit inconvenient to only have "one-way" access to and from the main rd, but no biggy. It was well suited as a place to crash while in town for a sports competition.

“Basic Room”

Basic, reasonably priced accomodation. The hotel has recently been updated, new tile & laminate flooring, new tiling in the bathroom, new tub. Great shower head/flow and hot water. There was a slight paint smell. Noise travelled throught the door easily. They put a lot of effort into updating the room with nice flooring/tile/windows, however the bathroom countertop was painted... poorly and the bathroom fixture sprayed water all over the sink. I didn't use the thru the wall air conditioner. The beds were comfortable/clean, not the best but not the worst either. Staff was nice to deal with. No iron/ironing board in the room (???). Room had a nice sized fridge. The continental breakfast was all right, bagels, bread, cerial, waffles, some fruit, coffee/tea. Tim Hortons right next to the hotel. Many big box stores and restaurants nearby. Not high style, but lots of value for the money in my opinion.

“Excellent Staff, Comfortable and Clean”

Staff was excellent. Rooms are being totally renovated and are quite nice and very clean. Fridge and microwave were a huge plus for us. Continental breakfast had a great selection and a place to sit and eat. Outdoor pool was closed for the season but we look forward to using it when we return in the summer.

Thiis hotel is in need of renovation. I think the staff was helpful and the room was clean, but the overall experience was not as positive as other Super 8 motels we have stayed in.

Overall facility somewhat outdated and in need of renovation and outside/inside cosmetics. Rooms had new furniture but bathrooms defnitely need remodeling.

“Trucker Hotel”

If you're thinking of staying here with a family you should probably give it a miss. Mostly the hotel was full of truckers on stopovers. We thought we might use the pool but it was surrounded by cigarette butts and there was a shady looking guy hanging around all the time. We had a non-smoking room but had to walk through several corridors of smoking rooms it smelled disgusting in the halls. Breakfast was the same every day - Froot Loops, Frosted Flakes and a loaf of white bread, no-name bagels, a bowl of apples and greasy no-name muffins. Waited a good 10 minutes when we were checking in at the front desk while the receptionist took several phone calls, chatted with people she knew, etc. Lots of people loitering outside the main doors, smoking and swearing. Pretty gross. We spent as little time there a possible staying out really late in the evenings.
