A Wonderful Experience...

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: The staff, the clean rooms, and the services they helped me with.
Location: Great location! Near the ferry stop and downtown attractions. Drug stores and food across the street as well. Great foot at the Plate and Pint!
I stayed on Bainbridge Island for a work event and chose the Best Western as my hotel. The staff was incredible! They all greeted me with smiles and great customer service. They made the check-in/check-out process was quick and easy and suggested some good places I could go to eat. I needed a cab service for the next day - they gave me some good feedback on the best company to use and set up the ride for me The breakfast in the morning was pretty good and hot, not just the usual muffins and bananas, but hot stuff like waffles, eggs, and more. The room itself was larger than I had expected. Was very comfortable and very clean. Didn't find anything in the beds or bathroom as you sometimes do in other places. The next time I'm in the area I will definitely stay at this hotel! The staff made a huge difference and were all super pleasant - from the folks at the front desk to the housekeeping staff I ran into in the hallway and elevator. The room and service were amazing, especially for the cost, you really can't beat it.

Great price-Relaxing Stay

Posted Jul 14, 2015
Pros: Value, quiet, friendly staff
Location: Bloedel Reserve-a bus ride to the north of Bainbridge Island was AWESOME and well worth the afternoon. Doc's on the waterfront-family dining
We arrived on the ferry about 9:00pm and hiked uphill from the dock to the hotel. It wasn't too hard and was a nice way to see the town and get to know our way around. We were greeted by a friendly hotel staff member. Our room was more than expected for the price. It was clean, updated and very spacious for two people. We were a bit hungry after a long day of flying, train riding and ferrying, so we followed the recommendation of the front desk clerk and walked across the street to The Plate and Pint. The food was delicious and our home team was playing baseball on the big screens. After dinner, we walked back to the hotel ready for a good night's sleep. The bed was comfortable and the surroundings were quiet. In the morning, we enjoyed breakfast in the hotel lobby. A variety of delicious hot and cold foods were available and served with a smile by the gracious staff. We spent the morning visiting the shops on Winslow Ave and walking along the waterfront. Lunch at Doc's on the waterfront was wonderful. There was a great view of the harbor. In the afternoon, we walked back to the ferry dock to board one of the local buses for a trip to the Bloedel Reserve. It is located about 5 or 6 miles from the hotel which doesn't seem too far to bike or walk, but we were certainly glad that we took the bus as the road there is not too pedestrian or bike friendly. The Reserve was so incredibly beautiful-like a rainforest and garden all in one place. Don't miss it.

The room was very large and comfortable.

Pros: It was quiet except for the doors that slammed.
Cons: Perhaps the doors could close without slamming.
Location: We did not take advantage of them
We were there for only one night but enjoyed that it was close to other shops and take out food.

spacious, clean, friendly staff, close to amenities in town and ferry (less than 1 mile walk). Starbucks across street an added plus.

Great hotel, handy to shops in a leafy setting.

We booked for 2 adults and 2 kids, then needed to ask for an extra blanket so I could make the sofa bed for the kids. Aside from that, excellent facilities - internet, breakfast, location, parking, elevator, etc. recommended.

Comfortable hotel

Posted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: Comfortable bed, good shower, aircon that worked well, friendly efficient staff.
Cons: A kettle in the room would have been useful. More choice at breakfast and more seating.
We stayed for 2 nights while we attended a wedding on Bainbridge Island. Our room was large and clean, and had a great shower, a comfortable bed and effective air conditioning. Free parking was available. The staff were efficient and we had no problems. There's a parade of shops opposite the hotel with a large Safeway store and a Starbucks. The hotel was easy to find and close to the Seattle ferry but we didn't explore the area much so can't comment on local restaurants. The breakfast was basic and there wasn't much seating but it was ok. The room had a drip coffee machine and a microwave but making tea would have been easier with a kettle. I would happily stay in the hotel again.

Location: Jake sick up great deli, near downtown Winslow. Nice walking distance to town.
The only thing lacking was a pool. I enjoyed my stay there. Relatively quiet and clean.

A Pleasant Trip

Posted May 11, 2015
Pros: The room was really comfortable and the kitchenette was great. Very accessible to the island's shopping and other activities.
Cons: The mattress should be upgraded.
Location: Directly across from a great pizza place that has gluten free crust! Drivable to Ft. Ward state park. 1 mile walk to Bainbridge city center.
The property was really pleasing. Nice rooms, great rates. Easily accessible to the island's many features. A great get-away for us. Fantastic little kitchen in terms of hotel kitchens! The only thing that we did not like was the mattress. I am very sensitive to mattresses and found myself, on the third night, unable to sleep all the way through the night. My husband, who is not at all sensitive, also found the mattress to be difficult. So, enjoyable, but not comfortable if I was going to stay more than two nights.
