4.5 stayPosted Aug 22, 2014
This used to be a Holiday Express. The building is older but everything is very clean and well maintained. It is up to date and nicely decorated. There is no elevator so if you have the second floor you haul the bags up, which will be an excellent incentive for packing light. The bed was very comfortable with a mix of firm and soft pillows. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was in a very nice area and was the usual mix of hot/ cold cereals, scrambled eggs and bacon, yogurts, toasts/ bagels, cinnamon rolls with coffee and tea. The only thing I really was not satisfied with was the extremely slow wi-fi.

Need an elevatorPosted Aug 10, 2014
Cons: Needs an elevator
This hotel needs an elevator. People with hip and knee injuries (as I do) will have difficulties carrying their bags up to the second and third floors.

Fairly nice hotelPosted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: The staff, the jacuzzi, and general condition of the hotel.
Cons: Better ironing boards, larger rooms, and a real kitchenette.
Location: Poulsbo is a nice little town with some great shops on the water. We went to The Loft for a friends' surprise 50th birthday party and enjoyed it.
Overall, this is a good hotel with very nice staff and well kept grounds and rooms. The downside was that the kitchenette was not a kitchenette. Putting a microwave on top of a small refrigerator does not constitute a kitchenette. The ironing board was very small and couldn't be setup to it's tallest setting, as all but one height setting was crimped shut. This made it pretty difficult to use. The bed was great - comfortable and firm, with nice and clean sheets and pillows. The A/C worked perfectly. The bathroom was small, but in good shape. The complimentary breakfast was pretty good. The two staff members who attended to it were on top of it and kept everything amply supplied with fresh items and food.

Excellent hotel. I would recommend it to anyone. We stayed only 2 nights. I wish I stayed longer. I would definitely come back to the same hotel. We love poulsbo!

hotel close to shopping and to visit familyPosted Jun 3, 2014
I was able to take my husband with me as they had a handicapped room and he could get around with his walker. And the bathroom was set up to make sure he had a shower chair and a rubber mat to keep him safe in the bathroom

The staffPosted Jun 3, 2014
The staff, particularly the check in host Jessica was so nice, friendly and a very smart gal. She was able to answer and help, was any thing we needed. A very clean, quiet place to stay. We will most definitely stay here again and recommend it to other. The check in girl Jessica made a world of difference as she was so friendly and observant of everything going on there.
