Spent a week there.

Posted Jun 30, 2015
Pros: Location and quiet atmosphere.
Nice quite location. Motel is clean and comfortable, but is showing signs of wear and tear, but nothing major. Breakfast could be improved for the price charged. Too much cold stuff, including the cold, boiled eggs. Not a good place for a diabetic person to eat. Also, my wife was missing a new $25.00 bottle of cosmetics. Reported this to office with no results. Desk personnel were quite pleasant and friendly.

OK motel close to Ferry.

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: There was no information in the room like most places we have stayed. You had to stand at the front desk an flip through a restaurant notebook.
Location: The location was close to the ferry landing on the island, so we could walk the distance.
I picked this motel for the location to the ferry. It served the purpose for the weekend trip.

Worst Hotel/Motel Stay of My Life

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: There is nothing I like about this hotel.
Cons: Customer Service, Staff, Management, Cleanliness, Room Conditions, Smell....
This was the absolute worst experience I've ever had in a hotel/motel. I booked and paid for a non-smoking room with two queen beds a month in advance. When I arrived I was given a room with one queen bed. The room absolutely REEKED of long-term cigarette use. There were burn marks in the carpet next to the head of the bed in the shape of cigarettes as well. The smell was so potent it made my throat hurt just to be in the room. When I complained to the staff about the room, I was told I couldn't be given any other room, and I was offered "coffee grounds" to put in the room to "cover up" the smell that night. They claimed the entire facility consisted of non-smoking rooms and claimed the room I was given was a non-smoking room. However, we found out later that the facility was "non-smoking" as of six days prior to our stay. As a result of the horrible room conditions, and lack of any kind of useful help from the staff, I ended up having to sleep the entire night in the cab of our truck in the parking lot. I would not recommend this hotel/motel to my worst enemies. I am kicking myself for not spending a few extra dollars to book a room in the Best Western located across the street.

Great staff, Great location, Outdated

Posted Jun 6, 2015
THE GOOD: wonderful staff helped with mobility challenged visitor's room and answered lots of questions about town and ferry to Seattle. Good handicapped bathroom, large room, housekeeping had done a good job of basic cleaning. Great location close to market, shopping center and scenic town with lots of good restaurants. Ok complimentary buffet breakfast. THE BAD: incredibly filthy carpet covered with spots and stains. It looked ancient. Bedspread was old and limp. Decor was1970s vintage. The outside of the building looks nice and well kept. That belies the reality inside the rooms.

Nice shower.

Posted May 18, 2015
Pros: Shower.
Cons: Internet, pillows, general appearance.
Location: Walking distance to Safeway, Rite-Aid, a bunch of restaurants.
We only needed a quick night's stay with two kids so didn't feel like we needed to go all-out with the Best Western. For the price we paid it was what you would expect. Beds OK, but pillows were really thin. Good thing we had our own with us. TP holder was falling out of the sheetrock, and door frame could have used a little paint and TLC. Internet would not reach into our room in the second building, so no wifi. Shower was awesome - perfect water pressure and spray. Also, keys were little digital plugins, almost like a mini SD card. We lost one (see above reference to having two kids) and are now facing a $15 charge if we don't find it and send it back. So I'm a little irked by that. I really wanted to find a cute treasure on the island, but alas, I did not.

Good location and satisfactory conditions.

We found the bed a little uncomfortable; the bottom sheet slipped off of the mattress way too easily. We had a king size bed which was higher in the middle than the sides. Also, the little refrigerator in the room had no controls other than plugging it in or unplugging it. When we left it plugged in overnight, everything was frozen solid! Plenty of hot water for our baths, which was appreciated.

Not a lot of amenities, but fine for a short stay. The room was clean and the staff friendly and helpful.

The room was clean and bigger than I expected. I would recommend staying here. I will stay here the next time I'm in Bainbridge Island.

Convenience and cost

Posted Jan 6, 2015
Pros: Location and price compared to other options.
Cons: The included self-serve breakfast has limited options. Just the very basics, including a finicky waffle iron.
Location: Short walking distance to Safeway, banks, the high school, McDonald's, a hardware store, pizza joint. Longer walking distance to Winslow main street.
I've done quick overnight stays here over the years. Bainbridge Island has few options when it comes to traditional motels, and this one is a good combination of competitive price and central location. It's not a new facility but is well maintained and clean.

Bad place during a storm, good location

Posted Dec 18, 2014 on Hotels
I stayed during a terrible storm and so had no Internet connectivity. Bainbridge Island also has only fair cell phone access. The front desk did not answer their phone (internal or external calls) and therefore I was essentially marooned for 3 days. The Inn can't control the weather but they CAN answer the phone! Breakfast was OK--nothing great, but location was excellent.
