Driving up from Nevada to Olympia in a 20ft U-Haul and needed a place to stop. The price was fantastic for Cimarron Inn. Wasn't sure what to expect but it was great. Clean, friendly, great service. I was able to back the truck up to a parking spot where my room was even though I felt relatively safe it just made me feel more confident about parking there. Excellent BBQ restaurant nearby as well. Very satisfied with our stay.

Front desk lady was friendly upon arrival. Got in room. Temp was around 20 outside. No heat in room. Room heater was turned off. Temp may have been 50 degrees max. Went to bed right away to warm up. Took most of the night to warm up. Turned heater to 77. It ran all night. Bed was hard as a rock. Pretty sure advertised as having breakfast but when arrived was told no eggs or sausages. They did have boiled eggs. Not bad for the price. If not for room temp it would have been fine for the night.

This is a no frills hotel but it was quiet and restful. Walls could be patched and repainted and some work on the bathroom tiles and a deep clean would make it a standard room. It would be nice to change from styrofoam plates and bowls to paper. Breakfast was a bit more spartan than the usual fair. The only warm options were instant oatmeal, waffles and whatever could be toasted. But it was clean and the coffee was fair. For an inexpensive overnight trip it was fine.

I don’t know who gave this an 8/10. They must’ve been paid. At first glance it looks ok but then you notice the cobwebs hanging from the ceiling a the light fixtures. The bathroom tiles are dirty and broken. I understand the reason they don’t refund for a shortened trip because after the first night we would have left. They don’t clean every day and you don’t get clean towels. Not that it matters much as the towels were thin as cheesecloth and rough as sand paper. The beds were firm and appeared clean. The highlight was the shower head, great pressure. Even the the sower was moldy around the edges. There were only 3 small drawers and no handle on one and the other was broken so we couldn’t unpack. Maybe they gave us a bad room because we had dogs( which they charge extra for) but it was bad. Really bad.
