Five Star B&B with familiar atmospherePosted Jul 5, 2014
Pros: The splendid freshly made breakfast with fresh fruits and spices from their garden.
Cons: We cannot think of anything.
Location: Nicely situated on a river bank, quiet place, only 4 minutes off the Highway. 40 minutes from Crater Lake NP.
Hexagenia Ranch B&B was the nicest B&B with very friendly and helpful owner we had ever stayed at. Unfortunately we did not stay more than a night. But if every possible we will come again. Lovely decorated house and rooms. All clean and perfectly well maintained. Perfect place for fishing, walking, hiking or just to relax on the patio with view to the river.

Wondulful B & BPosted Aug 4, 2013
Pros: This property is a Cabella trophy property. The house is 5-star.
Cons: A bigger sign is needed out on the highway but if you use GPS you should have no problem.
Location: Crater Lake National Park is about a 30-minute pleasant drive. There is a casino a quarter mile away.
Stayed 3 days in late July. Warm & very friendly hosts made us feel like family ( I wish they were)! The house is grand and located right on a river loaded with trout-bring your fishing gear. It is a great place to stay if you want to see Crater Lake and a very relaxing and quiet place. There are horses and llamas too! Highly recommended by a veteran traveling couple!

Beautiful B&B in a serene country settingPosted Jul 29, 2013
Pros: Very private, serene surroundings, friendly hosts, beautiful timber frame home with comfortable rooms
Cons: Difficult to find the ranch road from the main highway (US 97)
Location: A short drive to Crater Lake National Park - fishing - horseback riding - hiking
Had difficulty finding the home at night but otherwise a perfect overnight get away!

A fly fishers dreamPosted Jul 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
The new owners, Tom and Beth, could not have been nicer! Steve, former owner, lives on the adjacent property and was extremely helpful with hiring and driving us to meet an expert fisherman, Greg. We had a wonderful time and though only at Lonesome Duck for one evening, we loved talking with Tom, Beth, and Steve, and appreciated their hospitality.

Excellent LodgePosted Oct 22, 2012 on Hotels.com
We stayed here for 2 nights on a road trip. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. They let us use their laundry facilities which was handy halfway through a road trip. The lodge is spotless with great facilities. Homecooked breakfasts were superb. Excellent location if you want to visit Crater lake (which was amazing!). There is a very good mexican restaurant nearby. Overall a great place to stay and relax for a few days.

A wonderful Bed and BreakfastPosted Sep 24, 2012
Pros: The impressive ranch house, the hospitality of Debbie and Steve and the general setting.
Location: Beautiful rural location by river
You are staying a private home rather than a hotel. The ranch house is a very impressive piece of architecture in itself. Steve and Debbie are very friendly and hospitable and Debbie cooks an awesome breakfast. A stay at the Lonesome duck is a highlight of the trip. The ranch house is situated at the end of a long drive and is not visible from the highway. The entrance is on the right travelling north and is at a gap in the metal railing where you will see on each side the number of the property and a duck symbol. The property is on the south side of the river. Chiloquin is pretty much a one horse town and restaurants are limited. There is a Mexican restaurant on the main highway a couple of miles south which serves surprisingly good food.

I Give A Big "Thumbs Up" To Lonesome Duck Ranch!Posted Aug 9, 2012
Pros: The Cleanliness and Friendly Staff
Location: Off The Beaten Path
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lonesome Duck Ranch, this out of the way gem is a perfect place to stay when you're in the Chiloquin Oregon area. The owners/managers were friendly and helpful and made us feel quite at home in their bed and breakfast. They serve a great morning meal and seem genuinely interested in getting to know tehir guests. I'd highly recommend staying here, the rooms are immaculate, the staff is courteous and kind and the price is fair.

Probably the best B&B in OregonPosted Jul 2, 2012
Pros: Peace and tranquility and great hosts.
Cons: A bit hard to find - but worth it !
Location: Picture perfect
Lonesome Duck Ranch is a VERY special B&B experience. Steve and Debbie warmly welcome you into their beautiful home to share its' many delights - from the peaceful setting next to the Sprague River to the comforts of open fires and downhome friendliness. It's a great place to meet other travellers, exchange information on the best sights to visit, and is conveniently located close to the junction of 97 and 62 for easy access to Crater Lake National Park. But the best experience of all are Debbie's wonderful breakfasts !

This beautiful B&B offers a peaceful stay, wonderful location to visit other nearby places. It is like being at home away from home. You also have a chance to do some fun activities in the ranch: kayaking, fishing, walking are just a few.

Loved lonesome duckPosted May 29, 2012
Pros: The house was beautifully situated on the Williamson river
It was a total surprise! We loved it. We stayed in the B&B portion. Debbie and Steve were great hosts. Our best advise is to check in with Steve for directions. Would come again!!!
