Nice hotel on a golf coursePosted Oct 8, 2013
The hotel was a bit rustic which we had expected but was nice. The room was nice, clean and comfortable and we had a fridge in the room. Also had a good view of the golf course which we would have loved to play but the weather didn't cooperate for us. Food in the restaurant even though selection was a bit limited was pretty good and prices reasonable compared to other hotels. The TV remote didn't work very well with the cable box which was mounted to the back of the TV so you had to almost be on top of the TV to get the signal to work to change channels. I was pleased to see there were some surrounding shops since it is a bit out of the main town. We went to the little market however the selection was a little underwhelming so I didn't end up buying much and still went to town to get some items from the grocery store. The liquor store which posted specific hours wasn't open even though the hours indicated that it should have been. I had expected the gym to be in the hotel however I learned that you have to exit the side of the hotel and walk over to another building to get to the gym and spa which isn't just for the hotel guests at the Running Y. Luckily the gym wasn't real busy when I was there. We enjoyed our stay at the Running Y, it is a nice comfortable place and plan to return another time to try out the golfing.

1/2 notch above Holiday Inn, full resort pricePosted Sep 20, 2013
Staffs are not very knowledgeable or well trained in resort operation, they are only good at repeating the brochures or pointing at the maps. Walking trails are not well marked and the front desk kept telling me they are "everywhere" and "just right out side the front door", couldn't elaborate any more than that. I ran into a few people who were just as lost and confused. Our balcony was full of bird droppings, including the outdoor furniture. Very low grade pillows. Besides that, room was quite clean and the cleaning staffs were very friendly.

Relaxing Running YPosted Sep 4, 2013
Location: We went to crater lake national park. The lodge offers many things to do that is in walking distance of where you stay.
Everything was exceptional. The room, the beds and pillows, the bathroom...the service. Crystal at the front desk was fabulous...so friendly and very helpful with local things we needed. We stayed in eight hotels in nine days. This was by far our favorite!

In the middle of nowherePosted Aug 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel is literally miles out of a very small town that's on a nice lake, but the property doesn't even have a view of the water. The place is new and has a shiny look, but it's still a Holiday Inn. That becomes readily apparent when you put your head on the lumpy pillows or wash up in the poorly designed bath. The above counter sink looks nice, but there is no counter space for your toiletries and the 1/2 door glass shower insures only that the bathroom gets soaked. The undersized, rough towels do little to soak up the flood afterwards. Perhaps the most disappointing thing was the dining situation. Guests are basically trapped eating at the hotel since the place is so remote from any other establishments. The food was barely edible and over-priced. We ordered a flatbread app ($12!) and it arrived after about 20 minutes. It was a half of a 10" pizza crust with a few sprinkles of chicken & cheese. Not even a minute later, the main course arrived -- tasteless salmon and an undercooked burger. There is really no reason to be in Klamath Falls unless, like us, you're on a long road trip and this seemed like the only place for many miles. Try to reroute yourself!!!

What a gorgeous resort - hiking, golfing and morePosted Aug 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
We loved our one night visit. The bed was so comfortable, the room spectacular with a deck and chairs off our room. All the amenities were special. They are dog friendly. We ate in the dinning room and thought the prices were great. We will come back here on our next trip to the NW and plan on golfing and hiking.

Why ??Posted Aug 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel OK for our stay. The A/C in our room stopped working about 2 AM. Put it on high cool Did not work properly. Room was not cool past 2 AM. Went to the bar about 5 pm of our check in day. Four people back of the bar. One bar person was waiting on a couple next to me. The other three were at the other end of the bar - - - one woman bar person was talking to three men seated at the bar . . the other two were talking to each other.. . and one was drinking a can of soda? I had to wait while the bar person finished cashing out the couple and talking with them. Then she waited on me. I probably was there for a good 4 to 5 minutes before I was waited on? WHY ? ? ? What is wrong with that picture. A bit of good news. I went to the front desk and spoke with two young women about a good restr in town. They made several suggestions and they phoned the one I liked to make sure they were open and how late, and to make reservations. They were helpful.
