“Big Rooms and Dirty Bathrooms ... Exotic Combination !!!”

The rooms were nice and spacious ... The beds are nice and firm (which works for me) ... And the decor inside the room, although minimalistic, was tastefully done ... BUT the bathroom was very very very dirty. Disgusting even ! The lady behind the check-in counter was very friendly and courteous. Overall, if you need a cheap and comfortable hotel for a night or two's stay - this is a good place ... Anything more than that - you might wanna go elsewhere!

“The Long Distance Traveler”

The place was what I expected. It is in a small town off a major highway near Knoxville. I arrived 4:00AM and the auditor had my registration card ready for me to sign and he quickly handed me a key. The motel is old, however, my room was extremely clean with plenty of towels and toiletries. I was a female traveling alone from Houston, Texas to Baltimore, MD and one of my concerns was safety,it prove to be safe. It was well lite. In addition, the price was great, however, the Inn. was ten miles off of I-40 but it was worth it because of expensive hotel prices in the vicinity of Knoxville and Chatanooga.

“Just OK”

For the price and to stay just one night you can't beat it, lots of place to eat nearby, Mexican was our choice and was pretty good.

“NO FRILLS. Adequate as a place to crash.”

This hotel is no frills. A bit scary at night. The Budget Inn is located behind a Day's Inn. I got there at night and the receptionist was gone. The phone number goes to a guy's cell and he does not pick up. I went to the Day's inn and the receptionist was gone there too. He was running the airport shuttle. One kid running 2 hotels and a shuttle bus at the same time. Anyway, he got back and checked me in and the room was adequate. Bit of a smoky smell but clean enough. NO FRILLS. If you want to save a buck & just crash somewhere for the night, this place is adequate. The Hilton by the airport was so beautiful & had friendly, full staff but they charge over 3 times the price as the Budget Inn. You get what you pay for, I guess.

People use this hotel to live, lots of people smoking so regardless of having a non-smoking room, it's smell like cigarettes because the building walls was infested with smoke. Also, there was small roaches in the room. I was change to a second bedroom and even though was cleaner, still thru the bathroom vent the smoke (cigarett smell) would pass to my room, making my room smells like a smoking room. Parking lot very dirty, staff had NO idea about service or maintenance people, breakfast items were from an unknown brand like the Jelly, wasn't smuckers, butter was not country crock, even the cream cheese wasn't your normal Kraft everything was a "generic" brand never seen before, I mean breakfast items are normally cheaper, why not spend a little more and go with brands that people know, planes felt like there were landing in your room, ac's stop working the very first night and well what can i say i learn my lesson maybe a little bit more money or more distance could it give me a better and safer hotel. "The cheap comes out expensive" lesson learned.
