“Good location - good quality”

We only stayed here to sleep for a few hours, but the place was quiet, comfortable, and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very nice.

Clean, neat and friendly. Easy access and good location, just off the interstate. I would stay again on any further plans to visit Knoxville. Good folks!

The room was clean and kept that way by the staff. The free breakfast included eggs, bisquits and hot sausage gravey which I like. Fresh made waffles also available.

“Nice surrounding area”

If you are looking to stay one night and just need a place to stay, this hotel is perfect. It was clean overall but the bed skirt and the pillow cases were wrinkled, making me think maybe they did not wash them, but they looked clean. The pillow itself had some stains on it and needed to be replaced. The area this hotel was in was very nice. There is a huge mall and anything else you needed was very close by. It was convenient to UT.

“Nice hotel for the money”

I needed a place to stay after the football game and the Econo Lodge was just what I needed. The price was reasonable, the front desk was personable, and the room was comfortable. The breakfast bar was not too bad as well. I'd stay there again.

The staff was wonderful. They made up for what the hotel itself was lacking. It wasn't the greatest hotel, but was decent for a couple of nights for the price.

This Holiday Inn Express simply did not measure up to our usual experience with HIE. It appeared to be an older motel retooled to be an HIE.

I realize this isn't a 4 star hotel, but.. I do expect that the sheets and pillows on the bed don't have a yellowish tinge to them like they've been stained from years of people drooling on them. The sheets also were threadbare in places, making me believe that they were several years old. Also, the cold water faucets in the bathroom and shower never got cold, they were warm, like the hot water backfed into the cold pipes somewhere. Makes for a crappy toothbrushing experience. This hotel parking lot was full of trucks from roofing companies, and those guys loved to stay up way late partying outside on the balconies, making noise. My complaints to management about the noise went unheeded. It's a one star place at best. Only thing it had going for it was the room rate and proximity to the event in town we were attending.

“Great Price, Not So Great Room”

I was not very impressed with this hotel. We stayed for two nights and ended up staying in two different rooms. The first room we were put in smelled so horrible that we requested to be put into another room for our second nights stay. While the second room did smell better, it still didn't smell great. Despite the smell, I will say that the beds were comfortable. Very nice pillow top mattress.

Would not stay here again! Great location--horrible rooms. Smelled of smoke and beds were uncomfortable. Hotel receptionist did try to spray some air freshener; however, the smoke coming from some of the "smoking rooms" simply permeated the walls, etc.. I would not recommend to anyone who has allergies of any kind!
