Convenient location, no other positives

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Cleanliness, management, facility condition in general.
Location: Easy to get to from the highway and it is close to restaurants and shopping.
The hotel was very easy to find and it is located in a convenient area. Other than location this hotel has nothing to offer. I only booked one night and I'm glad that was all. Problems: 1. The person who checked me in was slow and didn't appear to know what he was doing. He may have still been in training or something but they shouldn't have left him to fend for himself. 2. Malfunctioning key cards/door locks. I carried all of my stuff to my room and then back down again to get a new card. 3. The room smelled like a used diaper 4. The floors inside and outside the room were absolutely filthy and looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in several days. 5. The refrigerator in my room didn't work. The light turned on but it was room temperature inside with no adjustment available. 6. No supervision whatsoever of the pool area which my room overlooked. Children screaming at the top of their lungs from about 8-10pm. 7. Hammering in an adjacent room started just after 6am and lasted for 30-60 minutes. 8. Only 2 elevators. One didn't work at all and the other one was very slow. It took 15 minutes for me to get on the elevator and go down one floor to check out which made me late for a business meeting. I have stayed in rooms that cost half as much and had a much better experience. This is not what I expect out of a Hampton Inn (Hilton property). After a long trip I would think that most people are looking for a clean, reasonably quiet place to stay where everything works. Avoid.

Very friendly

Posted Jul 13, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff, large, clean rooms and a very nice pool.
Cons: Nothing
This Hampton Inn had a very friendly staff manning the check in counter. You could tell they really enjoyed their job and enjoyed interacting with their guests. I had two small issues in my room and they were taken care of quickly and happily. It was a great stay.

Hampton is always our first choice and this is one of the best we have ever visited! Staff exceptionally friendly, room comfy and clean, breakfast great, would highly recommend and stay again.

Wonderful overall...although had coffee wrappers left so only available coffee in room was decaf...customer service was great though and responded quickly & appropriately. Comfy bed & pillows. Cable TV was fine once I jiggled cable to adjust.

Hampton Difference

Posted Apr 15, 2015 on Hotels
The room had been reconfigured which made the room smaller from the standard room setup.. We had to move the bench @ the foot of the bed to keep from kicking it ... There was no change in the standard Hampton quality ...

inadequately staffed - but the room was terrific

Posted Apr 14, 2015 on Hotels
desk clerk was crushed by customer traffic - ran into problems with people who had already been give room keys coming back to desk. New check-ins waiting in line. He was doing his best but he was all by himself. I did notice he made the mistake of apologizing too much - to the point where it lost its impact. None of it was his fault - the place was not appropriately staffed. Room was great though!
