Pros: furnishings, refrigerator
Cons: see comments regarding check-in
My experience at check-in was not good. Clerk wanted my credit card for incidentals which is normal but then also wanted photo ID which is not normal. I gave him my driver's licence. He kept both cards out of sight and spent a long time recording my data. - I thought after that this was an opportunity for Identity Theft. Next day the manager showed me a keypad and said the clerk was entering all my identification in case I left something in the room ? I did not sleep well because of this. In addition I was travelling with 2 female relatives ( we are all seniors ). The clerk also a senior wanted to know what was my relationship to the women. They did not find that appropriate

Southern Hospitality!Posted Dec 2, 2013
I travel for business extensively but this visit was pleasure as a break from the Thanksgiving travels with my family. This is the most personable and friendly staff of any hotel I've stayed. Front desk, mantenance person, breakfast buffet personnel and maid service were all extremely friendly. Rooms are immaculate, buffet was outstanding, and parking lot secure.

Pros: Checking in and out was easy. They had plenty of carts to use to get our luggage upstairs and then down the next morning.
We stayed one night as we travelled for Thanksgiving and another night as we returned home. Both nights we found the check in process to be efficient and our rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was good and had some variety from one stay to the next. We will be making the same trip at Christmas and are very likely to stay at this hotel again.

Awesome staff and hotel when visiting UT!Posted Sep 30, 2013
The Hotel Staff was amazing here! They were so polite and helpful. They offer a shuttle to UT games. This was a good deal if you want to go to the game and come straight back. They had a cookout Friday night with free food for guests. Definitely a plus one! This was our first time in Knoxville and we would definitely stay here again.

Not exactly a SuitePosted Sep 16, 2013
Pros: The pool area was very nice and clean. The room was very nice and clean, and so were the comforters. The pillows were great and the AC was great.
Cons: The boys didn't love the saltwater pool, but apparently it's supposed to be better than chlorine.
Location: The University of Tennessee is about 4 miles away. We took a lovely dinner cruise down the Tennessee river on the Star of Knoxville. Great food!
We booked this room for 2 nights while we were in Tennessee to take a tour of the University of Tennessee. We chose this hotel because we needed a suite. Myself, my two kids and my brother, were all sharing a room, so we needed a suite. When we arrived, we were given a standard room with 2 queen beds. When we asked about changing to a suite, we were told that this Hampton Inn and Suites, does not have Suites. The name says suites, but they don't have suites. We chose the hotel specifically because we thought it had suites. The men on staff at the front desk were very, very kind and were as helpful as they could possibly be. They showed us two other rooms that were designated for handicapped use, that had much more floor space. So, we ended up taking one of these rooms, and 3 of the 4 of us slept on roll away beds. It was fine for 2 nights, but just not what we had wanted.
