Walking distance to everything downtown. Facility is modern and clean. Stayed in Knoxville a few times and the Holiday Inn Downtown is the #1 choice.

Great location

Posted Dec 14, 2014
Pros: Location and cleanliness.
Cons: Wait time for a carry out order from the restaurant.
This is the perfect location to tour UT and visit downtown Knoxville. Everything in walking distance. Or, take the free trolley service available. Also, the hotel offered a courtesy shuttle within a 3 mile radius. Our car did not leave the parking garage our entire visit. This is not The Holiday Inn of old. Classy and upscale.

Nice hotel close to everything

Posted Dec 2, 2014
Pros: Close to everything
Cons: If there is an event downtown they sell most of the extra parking spaces so it was hard to find a spot if you arrive in the evening.
This is a nice hotel that is within walking distance to everything in downtown Knoxville. We could easily walk to many shops and restaurants and there was even ice skating set up for December in the square. I would stay here again.

Nice Hotel near Knosville Civic Center

Posted Nov 12, 2014
Pros: Breakfast buffet was very good and the hotel is clean and has a lovely lobby.
Cons: free parking for hotel guests
Location: We attended Disney on ice at the Knoxville Civic Center the evening of our stay.
The staff was friendly and the hotel was nice. I was somewhat disappointed that I had to pay to park in the parking garage and the room did not have a mini frig, otherwise though it was clean and comfortable.

Good location

Posted Nov 3, 2014
Pros: Pet friendly, good location.
Cons: The bathroom is extremely small, but I don't think there is anything that could be done about that.
Location: The World's Fair Park and the Convention Center is across the street.
The room was clean, comfortable, and had a nice TV, but the bathroom is extremely small. The staff was pleasant and helpful. We were not aware that we would be charged for overnight parking, but since this hotel is downtown we were not overly surprised by that.

UT game weekend

Posted Oct 7, 2014
Cons: Bathroom counter is too small, not enough room for makeup bag, etc. Coffee shop counters were almost bare Thur nite b4 game. More UT knitwear needed.
Location: Visit the farmers market.
Location and covered garage is the most appealing reason we chose this Holiday Inn. We can park our car and leave it while we easily walk to farmers market, restaurants and Neyland Stadium. It is fun to see the lobby, elevators, and restaurant filled with UT fans dressed in orange/white. We have stayed here the last 3 years during this same first weekend of Oct. The orange/white fresh flower arrangements at the desk are a nice touch. The bed and linens are comfortable. The bathroom counter was too small...not enough room for my makeup bag, etc.

Hotel close to Neyland Stadium

Posted Oct 6, 2014
The room was way over priced for what we received. Both beds were extremely hard and very uncomfortable. The pillows were too high and gave me neck pain as a result.
