Overall pleasant experience

Posted Apr 14, 2015
Pros: Spacious lobby, friendly check-in staff. Great location for anyone wanting to do things in and around downtown Knoxville and the UT campus.
Cons: The logistics of parking lot to hotel lobby and room access is a bit wonky but only a minor inconvenience.
Location: Great spot to stay if one wants quick access by foot to downtown, Market Street area, UT campus, World's Fair Park.
Overall a very nice experience. Rooms are a bit small but clean.

Big Ears Museum Festival Stay

Posted Apr 4, 2015
Pros: Proximity to music venues, helpful and cheerful staff, pleasant accommodations, breakfast.
Cons: Wish that parking had been complimentary.
Location: The Gay and Market Street area is within easy walking distance with lots of bars and eateries. The Knoxville Museum of Art is also walkable & free.
We needed to be central to the Big Ears venues, so walkability was key. Room was very pleasant, breakfast buffet was excellent and good value, staff couldn't have been more pleasant.

Good location

Close to everything, but request a room away from Henley St. It is VERY noisy and difficult to sleep. It is like there is no insulation at all! Staff was kind and helpful. Pool area was clean. It is obvious the hotel is old and has been updated over the years.

N "ice" experience

Posted Feb 23, 2015
Location: is close to University of Tennessee campus, Hotel sits right at Worlds Fair Park
We stayed in Knoxville to attend a UK vs. Tenn. basketball game. We actually knew that an ice storm was coming the morning we left. We made our reservations to stay here in advance and are glad that we did. We were not able to go out and explore the downtown area due to the ice/sleet. All restaurants in the area were closed due to the weather. The hotel has a restaurant and lounge. The beautiful lounge overlooks World Fair Park. What more do you need when the weather has socked you in? The hotel shuttle even drove us to the game and picked us up. We enjoyed the stay and hope to go back to explore the downtown area. We would stay here again.
