Perfect location for our trip

Posted May 21, 2015
Pros: Convenient location. Clean, comfortable room. Great breakfast. Friendly staff.
Cons: Another tv screen in the breakfast area.
Location: Close to the heart of downtown.
We were looking for a clean but inexpensive place to stay while we searched for our new home in Knoxville and were delighted to discover that this hotel was not only budget-friendly but also within a mile of our realtors' offices. Hotel staff greeted us warmly and were very friendly answering our many questions about life in the south. Our room was neat and clean. The bathroom was in great shape. The beds had plenty of pillows and were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet in the morning was more than adequate. We were very satisfied with our stay

Very accommodating

We were there due to a family emergency. Jeff at the desk was very kind and even held an extra room in case we needed for additional family. We did not get a chance to checkout the breakfast bar but I would stay again. Our room was clean and the area seemed safe. Thank you to the wonderful staff

Has All the Basics

Posted May 13, 2015
Pros: An acceptable quality for the price point.
Cons: The hotel seems to be run from an "inside -out" rather than an "outside-in"perspective, meaning that the focus was on their procedures and processes.
Location: Close to the center of town, which offers virtually everything you could need in terms of shopping and restaurants.
This is a good option for an in-transit sleep break. We arrived after midnight and found the clerk more interested in the paperwork process than being friendly and welcoming. She did not project the most professional image. Other staff in the morning were fine. The room was large and in clean condition. The bed - large - but not the most comfortable. Everything from a quality point of view was scaled to the price point which is an OK trade off. The included breakfast, again had all the basics, on a self service basis.

Below acceptable standard

Posted May 11, 2015
Pros: I felt that our bedroom linens, towels, room carpets, and bathroom were all clean
Cons: They need to do the deeper cleaning and upkeep that makes the motel look and feel acceptable.
Location: near my son's apartment as a student at the univeristy
I am not fussy, but in upkeep this motel is below standard. Wallpaper seams were coming apart in both rooms, hallways, and common areas, even a 6x6 inch square was hanging off in the lobby. There was dirt on the exercise room carpet that was there all 3 days, and dust on the treadmill was thick enough to see drops from sweat in the dust. The handles on the dresser in our room was falling off, and the light in the bathroom was faulty. When I wanted to adjust the fan in our room, there was a build up of dirt and grime inside the vents.

Very bad

Posted May 2, 2015
The tub/shower would not drain. It took all night to drain after one quick shower. The bed was so low to the ground it hurt getting up out of it. The pillows were the smallest I have ever seen.

Inexpensive, conveniently located.

Posted Apr 28, 2015
Pros: The room was equipped with refrigerator, iron, hairdryer, coffee pot, and nice TV.
Cons: This hotel needs to be maintained better. Many areas in need of repair and refurbishment.
Location: Near interstate exit. Lots of good restaurants nearby.
This is an inexpensive place to spend a night while traveling. It is conveniently located to interstate and restaurants. While our room was clean, quiet, and the bed was comfortable enough, the overall condition was poor and in disrepair. Tiles were cracked in the bathroom floor and the vent cover did not fit the hole in the wall, leaving an uncovered dusty opening around the vent. The bed cover had cigarette burn holes. The evening desk staff was welcoming and helpful, however the morning desk clerk was barely civil. Breakfast had few healthy choices, i.e. no whole grain bread, yogurt, or oatmeal. However, this was our least expensive hotel during our trip.

Good place to lay your head

Welcomed and friendly maid service. Nice restful sleep. Breakfast was okay. Would have enjoyed more fruit and yogurt options. Checkout personnel on Sunday morning would leave anyone with a bad taste in their mouth. Borderline rude.

Stinky room overlooking the pool.

Posted Apr 16, 2015
Pros: Staff were very nice.
Cons: Rooms could be cleaner and better repaired.
Location: We visited the UT campus.
We were in a smoking room and I am a smoker, but the stench was terrible. The ice bucket was dirty, the lamp shade was busted, and the wall paper was cut or torn in different places! The exit door was tied open with plastic bag so it would not lock and it was right beside our room!
