Comfy and Convenient Place to Stay
Nice hotel that is near the small town at Knutsford where there are food and shops nearby which is rather convenient. Room is tidy and comfy.

One night in knutsford
Booked due to photographing a wedding in the area and was one of the cheapest. Neil on the desk was excellent, very professional. Room was ok size bed pretty comfortable, Wifi was fast. In the morning came down for breakfast which was really good. Only slight negative was how the hotel is set up depedning which part of the hotel you are staying in tou may have to go outside as the hotel is 3 terraced houses.

OK for a night
Rather tired hotel not worth the cost - we stayed at a fairly new Manchester hotel the night before at £50 less, everything about it was better including breakfast, so will give this a swerve in future

Hotel is old and tired. Room aren't amazingly clean and there was a constant banging noise in my room.

We can only apologise for the inconvenience with regards to the airlessness you experienced although the room had a window we unfortunately had a situation with the extractor fan in the bathroom for your room and the replacement is still yet to arrive, and although some people would possible simply say to place air conditioning units in our rooms these would in essence take away from the heritage of the building that we most certainly do not want to lose. Very easy check in and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The hotel is ideally located a short walk from town, had a very good nights sleep and breakfast was very nice.

Not a knock out in knutsford
I booked this hotel through work for its vicinity to the office - I should of read the previous reviews as the negative ones are pretty accurate, I’m sure it’s adequate if u have never stayed in a quality upmarket hotel. and are on a low budget, although the AA. Has rated them as a 2 star hotel - I would rate it as a low quality over priced B&B , I had stayed in a 4 star rated hotel in wilmslow the night before which was definitely of a better quality with better services and was cheaper. The bed was uncomfortable, every time I moved the room creaked - I could hear every word the man said next door and the decor was dated - if it was updated to a modern standard I’m sure it would be worthy of its price and 2 stars for hotel - for me it’s still a poor quality B&B

Convenient hotel but a little dated
We wanted a hotel for an overnight stay in Knutsford - one that was close to, but not on, the M6. The Longview was convenient - only a few minutes off the motorway and in the lovely little town of Knutsford, with many great restaurants. The hotel itself is a bit old-fashioned, although the breakfast room is well appointed and the breakfast itself was delicious. Our particular room - no15 - was dark and stuffy. Its window faced onto an internal corridor so it wasn't possible to get fresh air. If we were considering staying here again, I would definitely not want this room, which certainly did not represent value for money.

The Hotels décor is not to everyone's taste as we have tried to keep the buildings heritage displayed through our colour scheme and furnishings, unfortunately the room you had been allocated too was an internal room and we can never guarantee which room each guest will be allocated too when reservations are made through online booking systems however if you do wish to stay with ourselves again in the near future when visiting the local area please do not hesitate to mention that you would prefer an alternative room to No 15 and we will do all we can to make sure you are not allocated to this room.

A pleasant weekly stay
Overall I enjoyed my stay in Longview hotel. The wifi was very fast, at least 40Mbps which is one of the fastest I have seen in hotels around Knutsford. The area is relatively quiet (at least during the week). The room had an overhead fan, which was pleasantly quiet and refreshing in comparison to the usual noisy desk fans I have had to use recently. The restaurant was always quiet and so service was quick. The food was good and not as expensive as other local restaurants. The check in and out process was very quick and painless.

A hidden Gem in Knutsford
We enjoyed the hotel, Very handy for Knutsford and next to the McLaren garage for some eye candy The hotel itself looked like a b&B but plenty of parking and a friendly staff . Would definitely return

Great hotel, lovely rooms and convenient location.
Lovely hotel and great service. However the hotel seemed expensive for what it was. The breakfast was very nice, cooked to order so was hot and plentyful. However at £12 each seemed quite expensive.

No sleep due to noise
Stayed here for one night, good location as very near to Knutsford shops, bars restaurants etc. However we were woken at 1am due to very high noise level coming into room, sounded like Mobile Generator type noise from outside, pitch high then low. Unable to locate noise so asked night porter to investigate!!! Bad night with NO SLEEP. Spoke to day reception next morning but nothing handed over, still waiting for hotel feedback!!! Room 2.

ok for one night
We stayed in a separate building rather than the main part of the hotel. The room was small and a little dated. There was no hairdryer even though rooms are advertised as having one. The shower had triple heads but only the main one at the top was working. Having said all that, we were only staying one night and I guess we could manage. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the car parking was ample.

We had a business meeting in Knutsford and chose this hotel based on price, proximity to station and proximity to meeting venue. The hotel has character, the services are simple. Lots if tea and coffee in the bedroom was a plus. Many good eating places in easy walking distance. The hotel was basically okay, but not at the level I'd be happy to recommend.

Room with window looking into a corridor, no privacy, no natural light, no fresh air, Internet would not reach my room nor phone signal. Room looks old and outdated. Don't book a 'cosy double' room at the Longview .
We booked a 'cosy double' room. The bed was ridiculously small. It was impossible for a 6ft man and his wife to sleep in any comfort. The room also was far too small although very clean. It should only ever be used by a single person or a couple who are both less than 5ft tall. It was very overpriced and breakfast was not included.

Out on a limb
our room was actually out of the hotel and a 100 yards up the road in a terraced house ,which we not told about when booking .So not ideal and the cost of £110 for the room with no breakfast was not cheap.

Stayed in a standard double room - got the room at a good price that rivalled the Premier Inn. The hotel was clean, the room was furnished to a high specification, and the staff were lovely; recommended for a no frills stay in a lovely area.

Nice breakfast
Off road parking. A very nice welcome with an offer to carry bags to our room. A clean room although it did seem to have a lingering smell of cigarette or cigar smoke. The restaurant served a very nice breakfast, would like to try the evening meals. The cellar bar very nice for a nightcap! With in easy walking distance to the main shops and bars.

Not worth the cash
Good location for Tatton Park but stayed in room 31, top floor , very hot if you opened the windows all you could hear was a plane taking off or landing every 30 seconds Breakfast not included in the £90 fee then got charged £2 for using a debit card Overpriced for a small attic room that you could not stand up straight in , will not be returning

When we arrived everything was ok, my fault that I didn't book a ground floor room for my disabled husband, the hotel staff tried to see if they could move us, but couldn't. We were on the 3rd floor up very narrow stairs. As the hotel is split between a couple of houses we were shown to the front door of our particular house, I felt that as the man showing us were to go knew that my husband was disabled he could at least have taken our small case up stairs for us. The room was supposed to be a superior room and was past it's best with tatty furniture and a bathroom that needed renewing, when we arrived there was something like a clump of black dust hanging down from under the bathroom radiator and it was still there when we left. We were staying 2 nights as we were attending the Tatton park show. The first night the food was ok, but the second night was joke. We arrived for dinner at 7.30 and there were 10 people in the dining room to be told that half the specials on the board were off, They had no chicken for the risotto, no special burgers and 2 of the 3 sweets on the menu were also off, all this at the most busy week of there year, after all there is a Sainburys around the corner. All the waiter kept saying was that he was off the day before , but surely it's the kitchen staff to know what they have in stock. I heard a man who came in after us when told by the waiter what was off say ' what sort of hotel is this 'and I had to agree.

Dear Gill Our sincerest apologies for not responding to your comments sooner, as with all online bookings our system will allocate to a room available and as you state that the member of staff did try to have you placed on a lower floor but was unsuccessful. We sincerely apologies to both you and your husband personally as the member of staff on duty should have offered to take your luggage, we have made some improvements to the décor of many of our rooms since your stay. Our Chef has been dealt with regarding the problems that had occurred the second night you dined and deeply regrets that it was not to your expectations after your 1st. We do sincerely hope that you will re-visit our establishment again and rest assured your special requirements will be taken care of accordingly. Kind Regards

Decent enough for the price
I've just returned from a work visit in the area and had to spend a few nights in this hotel. I'll be honest, I was a little apprehensive after reading some of the reviews, but the hotel isn't as bad as some would make you believe. Friendly staff, very clean room and a bar that stays open after the pub shuts. OK, the bed wasn't the comfiest I've ever slept on, but for under 100 quid a night, it was fairly decent value for money.
