We only stayed for one night in Kobe, we chose this hotel because the price was very reasonable for a large room and a bit of luxury (something we thought would be lacking from our other hotels in Japan).
We arrived early, but our room was ready and we were told we'd been upgraded to a room on the 26th floor. (we had booked a room between the 16th and 21st floor).
We had the most incredible view of Kobe harbour and returned after a meal out with a bottle of wine just to sit and admire the city.

The hotel itself is easy to get to - we used the loop bus from Shin-Kobe station, alighting at a stop right next to the hotel, but there's also a subway station very close.
