Mattresses a bit stiff & could use updating. At least this hotel was cheaper than any other hotel in Kobe because of Chinese New Year.

Good "escape"spot for the weekends. Enjoyed the relaxed environment and seaside views from the hotel. Great place for morning and evening walks along the seaside. A little disappointment as some hotel restaurant closed due to Pandemic but hopefully they may reopen later. Buffet at the major restaurant was not outstanding but we enjoyed having relaxed meals there.. .

View was great, lobby spacious. Although obviously few visitors, refused to bend on 3pm check-in, 11a.m. check-out. Restaurant very expensive and low quality. Few ala carte offerings, and these expensive.

The staff did a great job of trying to keep people distanced and safe. The new hot spring and spa is very nice . The poole was way too crowded though.

Nice view of the bridge and the park, we enjoyed the unique location of this hotel. Buffet dinner and included breakfast were great. A relaxed stay during our visit to Maiko. Shuttle bus was very helpful.

We enjoyed everything about our stay. We are so glad we decided upon the Maiko Villa Kobe. All staff gave great service. At breakfast, the one waiter offered to take our photos with my phone. He then made sure we got a few great mementos of our stay. Our room was overlooking the water. We had a prime view of the bridge. The night view was incredible. We watched ships coming and going, and we watched the bridge lights changing colours. There was a set of steps alongside the hotel, leading down to the beach promenade. We enjoyed a few walks along the beach and under the bridge.

Spectacular seaview, delicious breakfast!!!
All rooms facing the Akashi Bridge are fantastic! My wife & I love the scenic view & we enjoyed the breakfast most because it has such a large variety of dishes compared to other hotels. Room is spacious. If the room can install a safety box, that would make it more convenient. This is my second time staying in the hotel & definitely will go back soon!!

Good Hotel But A Little Far From Central Kobe
The hotel is very nice but the pool was not in use and hadn’t been for some time, there was a nice outside terrace area but no sun beds or even tables and chairs on it. Room was in good condition and very clean. Breakfast was good and supposed to be available until 10 but food started to be cleared away around 09:45 Communication was not great, some of the information was only in Japanese and some desk staff didn’t speak English.

Clean rooms, amazing view! Too high prices for dinner at the hotel. Nothing special. Pool too small, not worth the money. Nice breakfast (buffet). It’s all about the view!

Disappointment was 1) public bathroom was under construction and I was notified when I booked the hotel, and 2) my son used kiddy pool and was charged, in addition to that charge, they charge towel rent.

Spacious room with ocean view
The room was very spacious and clean. We enjoyed the ocean view from our room. Check in/out was very smooth and staff was very friendly. The hotel was about 10 minutes walk from the closest train station. The hotel offers a free shuttle service (every 30 minutes or so on a set schedule).

Overall the stay was good. However, I was disappointed with the services. First, there were no one helping on the luggages, which is fine, but what is not fine was there is quite a bit of walk from the entrance to the reception front desk. In addition, when we have found a dinning place but the GPS couldn't gave us a location using telephone number shown on the restaurant website, so, when I tried to ask some help from front desk to see if they can call the restaurant to confirm the phone no. and location, the front desk asked me to call myself using my phone number (which will be using roaming charges) or go to my room to use the phone from the room and refused to help.

Nice hotel with a beautiful seaview.
The hotel is beautiful and clean. The beach is very nice. The room is clean and spacious. Staff does not speak english. A good place to laze because there are sumptuous buffet lunch or dinner. There is a free shuttle bus from the Maiko JR station which is about 20mins train ride from Kobe-sanomiya train station. At this vibrant Sanomiya station, you can make inquiries at the tourist information centre. There are English and Chinese speaking officers. After enjoying a nice unagi lunch at the basement of Sanomiya station, we took a bus to the popular place, Arima Onsen.

This hotel has a lovely view of the Akashi Bridge which you can walk to and explore a museum with walkways high up over the water. The rooms are huge and comfortable with stunning views. A shuttle takes you to the JR station too. I recommend it but it is a little far from the main sights in Kobe, so if you want to pop in and out of Kobe with your JR pass on the Shinkansen, then this might not be the best choice. For a quiet respite from the tiny little rooms in Tokyo with a great view, its good.

Perfect Short Trip from Kyoto to Akashi
Amazing view from the room window facing directly to Akashi Bridge. View of sunset made this trip the most memorable this year. Room was spacious with great rates. Seaside neighborhood, although a bit windy and cold during Winter but comfortable to stroll around.

This hotel was in a nice location overlooking the water and the Akashi Kaikyo bridge. Close to a nice walking path and shopping. The lobby is very nice. The rooms are a bit in need of updating, but were comfortable.

Our view was just like the advert.
The reception area is out of this world, so bright, airy, roomy. Our room view was the same as shown in the advertisement. We wanted to arrange for our luggage to be picked up and sent ahead to the airport, so we didn't have to carry it through several train stations and on to the Shinkansen, and as we do not know any Japanese, and the staff had limited English, thought this may have been a problem. It was not, between us, we were able to sort this with the staff who were so helpful and patient, we were so very grateful.

My stay at Maiko Villa
My stay was excellent. The staff was very polite and considerate and went above and beyond. The restaurants were really top notch and the service there was excellent. Was also in very close proximity to Tarumi station with lots of shopping and restaurant choices and even closer to Maiko stations, which is a little smaller but with it's own perks! I would highly recommend this hotel.
