Pretty easy walk from the train station. Standard Dormy Inn amenities (decent breakfast buffet, onsen on the roof, half portions of ramen in the evening). You can leave your luggage if you arrive early/leave late.

Kōfu Stay
Highly recommend this hotel. It was clean and comfortable. The onsen is lovely on the roof. It's very close to shops and restaurants and it's not too far a walk from the central train station.

Small nice hotel. They offer a shuttle bus to Kofu station which operates until 11am. Wish they would offer it afternoons as well.

Wonderful Hotel with a Nice Pubic Bath and Hotel
We love the pubic bath and breakfast of the hotel! The room is a bit small and the washroom is in the room is basic - but the public bath is very nice! The outdoor bath is really nice too! Highly recommend to anyone who travels around this city!

Great Hot Spring Bath. Laundry facilities were in same area as Hot Spring Bath so I could do my laundry at the same time. Good breakfast. Not next to Kofu Station, but a pleasant walk.

It is close to the station, shopping, dining, and a castle (among other sites). The "hot springs" on the top floor were a very nice way to get some of the feeling of a traditional onsen without breaking the bank at another hotel. Breakfast was also very good.

Natural Hot Springs in the city
We arrived in Kofu on a hot day in July after having spent several days on the old Nakasendo in the Kiso Valley, so were especially appreciative of all of the modern conveniences of the Dormy Inn Kofu Natural Hot Spring. We took a taxi from Kofu JR Station - arrived early and were able to leave our luggage, which was waiting in our room when we checked in later. The shower in the room was augmented with a full sized "sento" hot springs on the top floor, complete with three soaking pools and a sauna (all sex segregated) which were available to use as many times and as long as you wanted (except for a few hours after midnight). Down the street we found a delightful brew pub "Outsider Brewery" and sat at the counter, served by a bi-lingual wait-staff. We decided not to go for the hotel breakfast, but instead had free coffee (available downstairs in the lobby) in the room with food items that we had bought the night before and kept in the small room frig. The room itself was typical of a Japanese business hotel, with the added benefit of a door between the inner bed area and the room entrance area with a closet, wash basin, and separate toilet off of which was the shower. We borrowed an iron from the front desk.

The hotel was much farther from the train station than anticipated ... not the nicest trek in with luggage, etc. Upon checking in, it seemed like the neighbourhood would be an exciting one with lots going on — but literally 85% of the shops and restaurants were closed until early evening ... kind of a dead town.

I've always known Dormy Inn as a business hotel but this location offered great amenities for the casual traveler. The hotel was close and convenient to the Kofu train station. The small onsen facility was great after a day's travels. The staff was friendly and helpful. Lots of restaurants and bars in the area.

We had a pleasant stay in a good location with decent wifi. Our only complaint is the extremely cumbersome handling of laundry facilities, and the lack of any coin laundry nearby. A brand new Dormy Inn is scheduled to open in September.
