Many of Western Tokyo’s highlights are within easy driving distance of Koganei, so it is a convenient place to base yourself. When the temperatures drops around Western Tokyo, head to the hills and enjoy the various wintersports at the Sayama Ski Area in Tokorozawa.
Come see local sporting heroes, the Tokyo FC, do battle at the iconic Ajinomoto Stadium, Chofu. On game days follow the sea of blue and red, to the stadium, then after the final siren sounds, join local soccer lovers at a nearby pub, bar or cafe and relive the action over a friendly drink or two.
