Great beach area

The hotel was nice for the price, but the pool and beach front area was great. The bars and restaurants in the area where brilliant, no shortage of shopping and entertainment.

Pros: The beach and the staff
Cons: minimal issues
Location: Superb Outlook and access to Lamai beach
If you discount a few very minor issues, the hotel was a great place to stay. Staff were excellent and the location is superb. I would be happy to stay at Aloha again on our next trip.

I stayed at this hotel 6 years ago and I enjoyed it then. This time it was not so good and I will not go back. The rooms are very worn and in poor repair and the beds are like slabs of rock. My partner and I both woke each morning with aching backs due to the unforgiving nature of the bed. In it's current condition it would not achieve a 2 star rating in my view and there are nicer hotels in the same area for the same kind of money. We were both disappointed and it was affecting the way we were getting along with each other. This hotel needs a full refurb with particular emphasis on the rooms. The garden area is very nice, the pool and the beach front area are also nice. There is no lift and no real facilities. The staff are nice and the food was okay. We will probably go to Samui again but not this hotel.
