Amazing!! I would visit again
It was amazing. This hote was clean close to airport great beach. Calm waters staff excellent. I have nothing bad to say. .. I would suggest that you get breakfast option with your room. Amazing exciting buffet. Two separate areas and you can use both at same sitting bread food options. Really fills you up to start the day. Staff were the best as well

It’s a nice resort. It claims to be 5 star but I think probably 4. Neat and tidy just a little tired such as the bathroom. Friendly staff and helpful. Wide variety at breakfast. I didn’t eat in the main hotel but in their Italian restaurant. I was looking forward to the meal however was disappointed with the frozen calamari and overdone pasta. Being so close to the sea, if I were the chef, I would be showing off fresh calamari. But apart from that, a very nice stay. Beautiful people.

Covid has been particularly tough for Thailand. A lot of the people from far North Thailand etc had to go home when the hotel(s) shut down, so when Thailand re-opened for tourism, a lot of these people had found alternative work and were happy to remain home. The Amari is in a period of training and having to find more staff when they are at Optimum capacity. I commend all the work that the Managers are doing to ensure the staff are supported and are receiving training as required. Nevertheless, I was well looked after and enjoyed being a VIP for 2 weeks To Wee and all the staff, thank you very much for looking after and listening to me. I will see you again for 2 weeks in September 2023

The hotel was very nice. The very best thing was the hotel staff. They let us do a late check out at 18:00, which literally alow us a full whole day at the hotel and in Koh Samui. Thank yu so much!!

Enjoyed our stay. the hotel is in a perfect location. The staff do a great job with the upkeep of the grounds. rooms ect. Breakfast was excellent with numerous choices. There is a lovely nearby beach bar/restaurant called Your Place, come out the hotel on the beach side and turn left and it's a five minute walk, reasonable prices and tasty food.

I would not recommend staying at this hotel. This hotel & resort was by far the worst out of any of the 5 star hotels we stayed at. We stayed in the junior suite, ocean view, this was the most expensive of our two weeks Thailand vacation, having stayed at two other 5 Star Hotels. We stayed 4 nights o paying almost CA $600 per night (15,000 baht per night). The training for the room cleaning & stock was awful because each time there was something the staff forgot to stock. The staff themselves were very helpful & nice. A 5 star should have a consistent checklist. Also upon check in or introduction to out room, there was no mention of what was included. There was a complimentary beach bag, welcome plate that we should have been told was included. Our room had a wet & mouldy smell that was very unpleasant, the staff at the front desk were exceptional in sending someone to fix it, but my husband had to ask for air conditioning service twice to get this resolved. Even though it’s an older hotel, I didn’t expect it to be so run down. I expect Better maintenance & upkeep for the bathroom sink, tiles & grout. It’s very kid friendly with children all very the place, especially at the breakfast buffet, getting their food on their own. I would not recommend staying at this hotel for the price the hotel charges, I found it a 4 star experience, paying 5 stars price. Except the staff were friendly & helpful, I attribute the overall poor hotel experience to management & the owners.

On our previous stay, during the same trip, we were disappointed that the main, beachfront pool was closed. This pool was now open, which totally changed (massive improvement) our view of the property. We also had a good experience at breakfast where, as vegans, we found a good range of options, which was not our experience at other hotels in the region. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Definitely plan a return if we come to Koh Samui again.

When we arrived, we learned that the main pool overlooking the beach was closed for renovation, which was a little disappointing and made the walk down the beach a bit odd as you had to walk through the restaurant. We were told that we were going to get a room upgrade as a result, but I’m not convinced that we got more than we had already booked and our room was directly adjacent to the busy Chaweng road. We’ve stayed here before, so hopefully this was a blip. On the positive side, the room was nice and very clean, the grounds are well kept and the staff in the breakfast room were very friendly. When the main pool reopened, it looked good.

Very dirty!! This hotel must have been nice back in the days but now is just a decaying hotel that is no longer a 5 star hotel. The room was dirty and dusty. My son had an asthma crises. I saw the housekeeping washing a glass in the bathroom and coming out with the glass "washed and dried". She didn't have a sponge or towel so she must have washed with her hands and dried with the dirty towels that we used and left it on the floor. They don't mop the floor, just wipe with a broom where is obvious dirty but not the entire floor. And they definitely don't wait 24 hours to put the next guest in the room, as they are supposed to, to avoid Covid.

Solo stay in Chaweng
Upon arrival, first visual impressions were great. Light and airy entrance. Due to having gold status I was hoping for early checkin, unfortunately this was not available. At 2pm I went to my room, which was lovely and spacious, ground floor and pool facing. On closer glance the room could have been a little cleaner, dust on floor and quite a few flying insects as though the door had been left open. Wonderfully comfy beds, with super soft bedcovers. Selection of food at breakfast was plentiful. Unfortunately it was very rainy during my stay, but sun loungers were not covered meaning when the rain did stop, the mattresses were soaked. I ate at both restaurants, staff were very attentive and a great wine list available. Mostly a very positive stay, just a few finishing touches to be improved.
