Accommodating and thoughtful staff

Anantara Lawana greets you well as you arrive to enjoy your Koh Samui holiday. Sunny, our contact, made us feel very welcome and attended to all our needs from organising tours, cooking classes and restaurant bookings to giving us pointers on shopping hotspots and interesting places to visit. We found our private pool villa clean and well maintained but were at odds with the over friendly mozzies. Staff were very helpful in making sure there were plenty of insect coils and sprays. The open toilet and shower was a little different and may be confronting for some travellers. The grounds and facilities of Anantara were beautiful and again, well maintained by friendly and thoughtful staff. The Oceankiss restaurant had wonderful assortments of food and beverages and we can only say words of thanks and praise to the wonderful staff (especially Yoki who thought my Massaman curry was terrific during our Spice Spoons cooking class) We enjoyed most evenings at the Pool Bar during Happy Hour and when in the resort during the day. Again, the staff were so attentive in every way, adding humour and conversation every time we came down to enjoy the facilities. This was topped off by meeting some great people and soaking up the peaceful scenery. Lars and his staff are to be commending on the Anantara's facilities, food, services and above all else, wonderful staff

Luxury the way I intend it

We booked there for my wife's 40's bday. I haven't informed the hotel staff about it, but when we checked in large smiles, bday cale and a little waited us. Just to set the tone. We've been upgraded from a Deluxe room to a Deluxe Pool access. A room with semi private pool shared with 5 other rooms. Only 3 like this in the resort, if you can, book one! Excellent food, pretty infinity pool, super friendly staff. The view was stunning even though the beach was only ok. The sand in the water is a bit sticky. Overall fantastic escape.

좁은수영장과 지저분한바다

좁은수영장과 허접한 bar. 지저분한 바닷가를 제외하면 대체로 좋은 리조트였습니다. 특히 스파가 아주 훌륭했으며 객실이 아름다웠습니다.

アナンタラ系列でも、中くらいレベルのホテル

Pros: 歯磨き用の水がある事。トイレが清潔であること。水の出もよかったです。
Cons: 特にありません。悪いホテルでは決してないです。 しかし、一流ホテルは、工事中であるなら、人を工事エリアの近くには泊めないだろうな・・・・
評価高いのに、安かったのですが、行ってみるとオーシャンビューでない部屋でした。 また、部屋の隣が工事中でショックでした。。。。。 価格程のレベルだなという感じです。 学生時代だったら満足だったでしょう。 悪いとは言わないですが、、、、

Resort nella natura

Pros: Colazione, spiaggia e posizione dell'hotel
Cons: Stampante nella library che viene usato come business center
Location: Hotel non lontano dall'area commerciale della città. Si può rimanere nel resort senza mai uscire. Tutto è presente all'interno della struttura.
Per chi piace il genere, è la soluzione ottimale. Strutture integrate nella natura. Camere non grandi, bagno e doccia con vista su una piccolo angolo verde. Colazione favolosa e personale molto cordiale. Ottima pulizia. Possibilità di muoversi con motorino/macchina per raggiungere la zona commerciale dell'isola.

Good hotel on the beach and away from main area of

Pros: Staff were excellent. Breakfast was excellent.
Cons: Rooms a bit tired - needs updating.
Location: 7 Eleven type mini mart , restaurants and laundry services just outside the main entrance. Short open type taxi to main area and surrounding areas.

Nice hotel, great service

Pros: Stairs everywhere. Beach is a bit rocky
Location: Close to main centre of chaweng and very reasonable price to grab a taxi or tuktuk into town.
Stayed at anantara lawana recently and it is a lovely hotel, except for all the stairs. If you have trouble going up and down steps this is not the place to go. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The beach at anantara was disappointing but perfectly fine for swimming. Pool is good as is poolside bar and restaurant. Breakfast was excellent.

Be award not a 5 star hotel big disappointment

This Hotel was a Huge disappointment! A warm and nice welcome by the staff. Anfortunatly the room was not ready when we arrived at 1630. No appologies after a while we got offered a free drink. The room was a disappointment, bathroom not probably cleaned, thoopast spatter on mirror from at lead the previous guests. Part of the room maintained at a 3 star standard at its best. Good the room where so dark, so you could avoid Looking at it. Quite fare to go to the beach, many steps. Good part was warm and smiling staff trying their best to compansate for what I belive is bad management and yers of neclect to maintanance. I have stayed at many 5 star resorts in Asia ( including Anantara) I am suprised they want to ruin their brand with this Hotel included in the Chain. I moved to another Hotel, they offered my a free transfer.
