Posted May 10, 2015
Pros:

We had stayed here two years ago for a wedding.

Posted May 4, 2015
Pros: Everything
Location: Perfect location. Right on the beach at one end and walk out on to the Main Street from Reception.
When invited to another wedding in Koh Samui, we didn't hesitate to book at Chewang Regent again. There is nothing I could fault. It is a bit pricier than other resorts but has the old world charm and everyone is so friendly and willing to please

Lovely Hotel on beachfront, close to main areas

Pros: Peace and quiet yet in such a busy part of town
Very lovely hotel with great facilities, sumptuous buffet breakfast overlooking the ocean can't be beaten. Fabulous facilities, terrific staff and within easy walk of numerous local attractions.

Amazing experience in great location for good food. Awesome pool and spa Within the building. Also shout out to staff who upgraded our room as our Initial room was next to a noisy family and construction work.

Absolutely sensational!!

We came here for my 40th Birthday. The facilities, location and staff were absolutely amazing! Everyone went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect with major attention to detail. My Day Spa treatment was also perfect. They even left a beautiful happy birthday message etc made out of flowers on my bed and a lovely birthday cake! We're already missing Chaweng and looking to come back next year! Highly reccomended by all of us :-)

2 nights at the Chaweng Regent

Posted Mar 27, 2015
Location: On one of the main streets in Chaweng so plenty of bars, restaurants and markets within easy walking distance.
Beautiful, tranquil, well manicured grounds and smart, well appointed rooms. Helpful staff and very good service. Beach bar and restaurant are lovely. Great beach and shallow seas so good for splashing about but not good for serious swimming or snorkelling.

Disappointed

Posted Mar 19, 2015
Pros: Location, beach, pools, gardens and staff
Cons: Either don't use or discount the rooms affected by the construction site. Apologise when problems occur. Improve food and drink quality
Location: Main street outside has more cafes, bars and shopping than you could possibly need.Try a lady boy cabaret, its a fun couple of hours.
Unfortunately had a bad start to 2 week stay. Room not ready until 6 pm. Had chosen and paid for a higher quality room (premier room $AU300 per night) and were shown a room with a view of a construction site! Noisy machinery and construction sounds went along with the view. Had to request a room change which did not occur until the following afternoon. It is not the hotels fault that the block next door is a construction site but to expect guests to pay large amounts of money for such a room with no apology is very poor. They obviously know it is a problem and live in hope people will not complain and just accept the room. Breakfast is basically the same everyday. The variety of fruit in SE Asia is amazing but we had the same 5 fruits cut in massive chunks every day. Tea and coffee were appalling. Asian food was poor( instant noodles with cabbage one morning!), egg station good, toast etc good salads/cheese/cold meats good but no variety. Lunch and dinner average, much better and cheaper food outside of the hotel especially the cafe's at the back of the markets across the road. Cocktails had an odd bitter taste yet basic drinks such as G&T were fine. I think this hotel can charge their high prices as they have a perfect location on a lovely beach, beautiful grounds/gardens and good pools. We did enjoy our holiday but would not return to this hotel as we didn't feel it was value for money, also the lack of acknowledgement or apology for our first room left us a bit upset.
