I've stayed here twice before but that was pre 2010, but the hotel is pretty much the same, friendly staff, quiet enough, less than 5 min walk to the beach, choice of bars and restaurants within 5 min walk. Overall 4.5/5.

This was one of my favourite places to stay. Not only did the hotel/room have everything I needed, but the staff were wonderful! They were super accommodating - greeted me for a late check in, did the daily cleaning around when I was in/out of the room, arranged taxi for me etc, they were very friendly and even cared for my wellbeing! I was very sad to leave, and if/when I return to Lamai, this will be the place I stay! Thankyou so much, for everything :)

Wonderful small hotel, highly recommended
The place is a wonderful little getaway from the strip of lamai. Owner is extremely helpful, kind and friendly. Cleaner is good always on. Top of things. Room wise, clean, comfortable yet it can get a little hot without the air con on. Pool, lovely for a dip or a swim. For the price, I think it's a true gem and I recommend many people to visit.

Great, budget friendly hotel.
The hotel was lovely and clean and equipped with good air con, a fridge, kettle, tea and coffee and a tv with good (western) channels. Enjoyed the pool although not always enough sun longers...people tended to leave their towels on them to claim them which felt very unfair given that there was only 4- I wonder if the staff could do more to manage this? No major concerns though and we loved our stay.

great little hotel,good location exactly 5 min walk to lamai beach,bars and restaurants. the owner Jimmy and his staff ye and win were great, they were there when I needed anything and kept the hotel and rooms clean and tidy and were quick to help if i had any needs. I will be returning next year and have no desire to stay at any of the other good hotels in Lamai.

Only few minutes walk to bars and resturants, 5 mins to beach. No noise from bars Nice pool. Only problem is TV which is notvreliable as it relies on the internet

Great pool very clean , had a great stay over all.
Lovely hotel. The staff weren’t great but helped when needed. Lovely pool and just around the corner from everything we needed. The only bad thing was that the shower was dated and wasn’t very powerful and the heater was tempermental but got it working okay each time.

The dirtiest room I have ever seen
The room was not just dirty but filthy. With a spider net in a corner with a spider. Stains on the wall and dust on surfaces.

we stayed at Hathai 3 nights out of 6 we have booked in advanced. the only good thing we find at this hotel is its location which is 5 min walk from the main street of Lamai. the room is really basic and in bad shape. we were first on 3rd floor and we couldnt shower as the water current was very very low. we told the reception on 1st day we want to cancell the reservation as its not looks like in the pictures and we cant even shower normally,the manager didnt accepted. they mooved us to 2nd floor (no elevator by the way) were the room looked exactly the same. at least the water there was ok. pool is very small as well. i wouldnt recommend this hotel if you look for something a bit better than really really basic.

Very Enjoyable Stay
We enjoyed our stay at the Hathai House Resort. The hotel is located about a 5min walk to the main street where all the action is, which is ideal for us as it meant none of the noise from the bars reached us. The rooms very clean and tidy and were big enough not to feel too cramped. The only downside to the rooms is the internet was a bit slow -- perfect for emails and general browsing but good luck uploading/downloading files above 2mb. The staff were friendly and hospitable. Oh the pool is really small so its maybe good for a dip but thats about it. All in all a pleasant stay for a decent price.

Отель находится в 5-6 минутах ходьбы от пляжа. К пляжу ведут две улицы: одна - с оживленным движением и большим количеством баров и массажных салонов. Вторая улица - тихая, зеленая, уютная. В отеле 3 этажа и бассейн. Индивидуальных балконов в номерах нет. Функцию балкона выполняет общая терраса, на которой около каждого номера стоят по два стула и столик. Белье и полотенца меняли каждый день. В номере есть чайник, чашки, телевизор с русскими каналами, холодильник, кондиционер (наш шумел). Вай-фай - нормальный. Завтраки не брали. На рецепшене - англоговорящий сотрудник.

Relativ zentrale Lage, insbesondere hinsichtlich Restaurants und Nachtleben. Zweckmässige Ausstattung, die allerdings bereits in die Jahre gekommen ist. Das Zimmer wurde während meines gesamten Aufenthalts von 5 Nächten nicht ein einziges Mal gereinigt.

Da jeg kom var rommet hotellet overbooket så jeg fikk ett rom på ett billigere hotell lenger nede i gata som var bedre enn dette, men de sa det var dårligere. Når jeg endelig fikk rommet dagen etter så hadde vi problemer med aircon, og aircon på det rommet jeg har er så dårlig at det fungerer ikke, Så rommet har ikke aircon i praksis. Rommet har også store sprekker i dør, og myggen kommer inn i rommet fra forskjellige steder, så hvis du vil ha Denguefeber så er dette stedet for deg. Ikke book på dette stedet, ser fint ut på bildene men jeg flytter fra dette hotellet fire dørgn før tiden, så får jeg se hvordan de ordner det,

Günstiges Hotel in zentraler Lage
Sehr freundliches Personal und sauberes Zimmer ohne übertriebenen Luxus. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt. Wer die nächtliche Ruhe schon sehr früh sucht, sollte aber ein Hotel suchen, das etwas weiter entfernt von den Bars und Kneipen des Zentrums entfernt liegt. Für Feierwütige liegt es perfekt

Etwa 10 Min. zum Strand, jeden Tag 2 frische Handtücher Preis Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Doppelbett OK Musik ist von den Stangltänzerinnen in Lamai öfter bis 3Uhr früh zu hören.

Hotellet ligger ganske sentralt i Lamai, men likevell forholdsvis rolig. Det er ett lite basseng som er greit for en kjøkende dukkert. Ellers er det mindre enn 10 minutters gange til stranden. Badet er av enkel utførelse, men er reint og fungerer. Et stort pluss er god air condition og kjøleskap på rommet som blir fylt med 2 flasker vann daglig. Det må bemerekes at det ikke er åpen resepsjon melllom kl 2000 og 0800. Et enkelt og greit hotell med god daglig rengjøring.

Отель расположен в 5-7 минутах ходьбы от пляжа Ламаи,недалеко от центра, и в тоже самое время достаточно тихо и не слышно шума из ночных баров.Неплохой бассен,дружелюбный и вежливый обслуживающий персонал,уборка в номере ежедневно и без нареканий.Вобщем и целом отель понравился,если не быть придирчивым к мелочам,впрочем на отдыхе нужно быть всегда на позитиве.

The staff is friendly, and two streets towards the center is a busy streets with shops and restaurants.The hotel is located in between other buildings. We had a room for two people, 50 euro per night and visited with a 2 year old. The room is really just a small room without any special atmosphere. no colours, paintings or whatsoever. The room was clean, the bathroom showerhead a bit moldy. There is no balcony (only the two bigger rooms have that). There is a TV with DVD-Player and you can borrow a lot of DVD's at the reception. In my opinion the room is ok for travelling through, but do not stay there for more than one or two nights if you are looking for a nice atmosphere or romance.
