The real dealPosted Oct 15, 2013
My stay at the Imperial Boathouse was as close to perfect as I can imagine. Total relaxation. Great location, away from tourist hoards but with everything you need.

DisappointingPosted Aug 2, 2013
Pros: Good swimming pool and nice beach.
Cons: The room itself.
I won't go back to this hotel! The rooms that they show on the internet are the boat houses, but when you get there, you get a standard hotel room, unclean and very old fashion. The bathroom is very old and not welcoming. The overall value for money compared to other hotels in Koh Samui is very bad. Not recommended at all.

Good stayPosted Jul 25, 2013
Pros: Staff, Beach
Location: 10 min drive to Chaweng (the hotel provides free shuttle during the day and paid ones in the evening) and 15 min drive to Fisherman’s village.
The resort itself is nicely set up with beautiful gardens and water bodies. We stayed in a Premier room and were satisfied with its size and furnishing. The room had a huge balcony with two day beds. The bathroom was of a good size and had a separate shower area, bath tub and WC. It was clean and had good fittings but could do with some renovation as the tiling was beginning to show its age. The lobby and the breakfast cafe also need renovations! The buffet breakfast was good though not outstanding. There were plenty of hot and cold choices- both Western and Asian. The resort itself has two swimming pools- the larger boat shaped pool next to the beach and the smaller monkey pool is close to the hotel block where the Premier Rooms are located. The Boat Pool is more popular especially with families and we too patronized the same. It has massage jets on the sides and I spent a lot of time letting the jets massage my back while I enjoyed in the pool. Wi-fi is free and available throughout the campus including the pools and the beach. However, the signal strength was not very good in our room and the beach but sufficient for basic browsing and staying in touch with home. It is only a 10 minute drive to Chaweng (the hotel provides complementary shuttle transfers during the day and paid ones in the evening) and 15 minute drive to Fisherman’s village. There are plenty of options to eat out in Choeng Mon itself and we never had a meal in the hotel other than breakfast!

Great family hotelPosted Jul 20, 2013
Great stay for a family with kids. Kid friendly atmosphere with lots of water sports etc. Good eating places outside the hotel within walking distance.

Top quality placePosted Jul 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
Top quality hotel; clean and comfortable, very friendly staff and a private beach with all the facilities, including a restaurant and a pool. The village is small and not much is happening there. However, for a $10 to $15 taxi ride, you can go to the bigger and livelier places. For both a romantic getaway and a proper rest with kids (there's a special pool for the smaller ones), this is the perfect destination. When we were there, in early July, most of the guests came from the UK, Australia and Germany.

Very relaxing!!Posted Jun 17, 2013
The hotel is located to the Northeast of Koh Samui on a small stretch of other hotels, restaurants and shops. It's not far from other resorts and beaches but is much nicer and quieter than other resorts on the island. The hotel is beautiful, very relaxing and the staff are helpful. The beach is just past the lovely hotel boat shaped pool. There are plenty of spaces for shade bathers and sun worshipers alike. The hotel provides free snorkels, flippers and kayaks for hotel members use. There are Thai massage areas on the beach but nice cool air conditioned parlours on the same road as the hotel. Captains choice, the hotel restaurant cooks fantastic food and runs cooking classes that are awesome!! The rooms are well maintained and comfortable.

Staff are very friendly and helpful, everything is ok beside the towels are full of stain ,suppose white color but look like yellow. The restaurant by the beach is excellent, good food and good live music. I may stay here again if they can offer me a clean bath towels.

All You Could Ask forPosted Apr 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
The rooms were spacious, clean and beautifully furnished. The grounds and facilities were well maintained. This resort is on the beach, close to shopping, food, any and all amenities. You could have quiet time to yourself or enjoy the activity of those around you at the beach side bar or pool. We were here for New Year’s Eve, what a splash, including a baby elephant, live music and beach side fireworks.

Great hotel, great staff, shame about the RussiansPosted Apr 2, 2013
The converted Rice Barges are fabulous. Only negative point is the place is completely over-run with miserable Russians!
