Great hotel - I want to go back!

Posted Aug 7, 2014
Pros: Location Views Rooms Staff
Cons: Nothing - it was perfect!
Location: Set back off the road with a 5 minute car journey up a steep hill. All rooms are on steep hills, but the hotel has golf buggies to take you everywhere
Great hotel! Loved my stay here. Will go back! Lovely location - views of the sea from the rooms. Pick a Love room with a jacuzzi - these were great! Food wonderful, breakfast great. Shuttle service provided was excellent. Staff great - booked trips for us and were so helpful - always willing to take you up to your rooms on the golf buggies. Great pool.

Beautiful hotel, amazing views

Posted Jul 31, 2014
Pros: The view is so picturesque and the staff are very helpful
Cons: Maybe the ability to turn the TV to watch it from the bed, but the sofa was comfy enough!
I only stayed one night due to flying home from Koh Samui the next day. But after backpacking across Thailand, it was amazing to relax! The Hotel is beautiful and the rooms are lovely and really comfortable The staff are very friendly, breakfast and the meal in the restaurant was very nice plus the spa treatments and the pool are the perfect place to relax!

Very nice, but very steep access

Posted Jul 31, 2014
Pros: The fantastic views and big rooms.
Cons: The light switches were in funny places and the shower setup was rather strange, as the whole bathroom floor got wet.
Location: Could get a free shuttle to Fisherman Village or Chewing Beach, which was handy. They will organise tours for you as well.
This hotel was good, with fabulous views over the island and nearby islands. Access was very steep for older people but they had golf buggies to take you around. Pool could do with enlarging or a second pool to cater for the number of people staying. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating, buffet breakfast was to die for.

We did not stay, we asked for a refund and left.

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Cons: Their ad, that way you know what to expect.
Location: The hotel is located in a hill which gives it great views, but the road to get there is narrow and curvy. It does not have a beach.
The hotel is not bad for a 3 star hotel but they advertise it as a 5 star luxury hotel which it is not. Since the arrival until we left we were disappointed about the place. They offered some things by request, the reading lamps were one of those. How can you have a decent room without reading lamps in a hotel that advertise it self a a 5 star hotel?

Best Honeymoon Resort

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: SERVICE... STAFF's friendliness and helpfulness
Cons: better roadsigns leading to the hotel in night.
Location: Hit the beaches...Rock the parties... Explore the markets... Relish the exotic delicacies... Relax at a spa....
The hotel is on a hilltop facing the sea and rooms giving you an amazing view of the nearby hills and islands. BEST hotel service I've experienced so far. The staff was very friendly and helpful too. Although I'm a vegetarian, the Breakfast buffet had a lot of options for me with amazing food. And the chef was very helpful to prepare special vegetarian dishes for me on special request. Best way to explore Koh-samui was to hire a bike from the hotel and just hit the beaches and the markets.. Lot of options for Shopping too.... My stay of 5 days felt very short and I definitely want to come back to this hotel for a loner time.

Great hotel

Posted Jul 18, 2014
Every aspect of this hotel was fantastic. From the pool view, room size, breakfast or the helpful staff, we enjoyed our stay at mantra. Even though some hills are steep, the hotel does a great job shuttling people to and from their rooms.

Nice hotel with caring services.

Like the way the staff decorate my honeymoon room. Services is excellent. Only 1, not close to beach where you can have a walk in the morning or night.

Holiday of a life time!

Posted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: Everything.
Cons: Pool too small for such a large number of guests and not enough lounges. Thai cooking class was great.
Location: Boating, quad biking, elephant rides, waterfalls, hire car around Island, jet skiing, dining on beach and so much more.
We wanted a relax and peaceful holiday and we got that at Mantra. Staff treated old and young alike which was fabulous to see. Restaurant and bar staff particularly were great importantly Mark and Eyan. Food was fab and plenty to do. Being only 5 mins from Fishermans Village and 10 mins from Chaewang was perfect. Great value for money. Only downside was pool should be bigger or two pools for such a large resort and bathroom benches need revamping due to wet wood. We will be back!
