Best hotel in SamuiPosted Nov 18, 2014
Pros: staff, food, room, dinner on the beach, spa treatments
Location: very quiet and romantic, perfect for rest. The busy places are 15 min by taxi. Companies that doing activites have pick up service from the hotel
amazingly friendly and helpful staff, very good restaurant, beautiful rooms and villas

Excellent hotel in beautiful setting but .......Posted Oct 29, 2014
Location: 2 minutes walk to the main road. Lots of bars, restaurants and shops.
Beautiful, quiet, romantic beach hotel in a beautiful white sandy bay. The hotel is beautiful wherever you look. Breakfast and cocktails are great. Service is excellent and staff are always smiling, efficient and helpful. Villa rooms on the garden side is a bit small and dim (have to draw net curtain for privacy). However, big and beautiful bathroom and outdoor area with covered sofas, 2 comfortable deck chairs and a nice swimming pool. The garden area is also very well kept and beautiful. The restaurant is by the pool and overlooking the beach. Some tables are on the beach. It is very romantic and stylish. Buffet is excellent. One out of 2 dinner experience is a bit disappointing as I found the food a bit bland. The only drawback is the toilet and bathroom is outside. There might be one or two lizards on the wall at night and if you have an issue with lizards, then you need to really think about it. All in all, highly recommended.

My second stay and again fantasticPosted Oct 28, 2014
This is my second stay at Sala Samui and I can't wait for a third. I'm a traveler and this hotel has the best service you can have, absolutely every one at the hotel is fantastic, attentive, helpfull, etc. the restaurant with Chef Nick is basically great, thanks for the Thai Scotch eggs again. Thanks to all the Sala Samui team you made our stay so great once again.

Great villa / beach combo propertyPosted Oct 25, 2014
Location: Sala isn't in the main area of Koh Samui but it's only a 10 minute taxi ride to all the action. Lots of little restaurants and massage places nearby.
This was our second stay at a Sala property (the first stay was in Phuket) and it didn't disappoint. The great thing about the Koh Samui property is that you can either relax in your private villa with plunge pool or hang out at the beautiful beach front or pool. The staff was very helpful and provided excellent service and the villas were comfortable. Definitely would recommend for couples who want some romantic and private time together.

5 star facilityPosted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: see above
Cons: the room overhead fan a little noisy
Location: walking distance to a small town to get the taste of Samui....and only 15 minutes drive from the airport to main, 20 min main "city" for more nightlif
We were joining family members for a 60th birthday...and had booked for 5 days. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty by the fantastic staff. The pictures on the internet doesn't do the facility justice and we continued to find everything above our expectations from the service to the rooms, breakfast, massages on the beach, activities and relaxed atmosphere. Planning our return already!

Lovely resort, great pools & pleasant beach.Posted Jun 26, 2014
Pros: Room was comfortable with doors that opened up to the pool area. The outdoor rain shower and large bath was lovely. Own choice of pillows and soaps.
Cons: Would have loved a small bedside table to hold a book and coffee and sometimes the air con was hard to change at night when we got cold!
Location: Many restaurants nearby for meals, cheap drinks. Not much for clothes, as in Phuket. Boat trip around isl. with lunch at Koh Tan worthwhile.
We booked a garden pool villa which enabled us to relax, read and cool off in the pool, away from other guests when we wanted time by ourselves. I thoroughly recommend it and would look to book similar again elsewhere. The selection of food for breakfast was wonderful and not only were there the normal juices, but other fruit and vegetable juices too, that were made fresh to order. Happy hour by the bar and entertainment with Thai dancers and instrumentalists over dinner helped make the atmosphere. Seafood dinner on the beach in candle light was a night not to be missed.

Nothing but excellencePosted Jun 2, 2014 on Hotels.com
This is our first trip (5/19-23) to Koh Samui, and Sala Samui made it a very memorable one. The resort asked for our trip information in advance to accomodate our requests. They also recognized our anniversary with roses, chocolates, and a bottle of champagne upon arrival. We stayed at the Garden Pool Villa, which is very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast...oh it was just simply amazing. There're buffet stations with both eastern/western food, juice station for freshly made upon order drinks, and a la carte menu for chef specials. We also took advantage of the free yoga class offered on Wednesday/Sunday morning. Talking about HOT yoga - outdoor next to the pool facing the ocean in 90 degree weather at 7:30am!!! It felt really good afterwards. You can get massage next to the pool with the hotel. Or if you are cheap like us, just step out to the beach, there are tents offering massages. The resort is about 10 mins car ride from the airport. If you want to go sightseeing, it's easy to order taxi from the resort. Although we didn't eat at the resort besides breakfast, we heard the food is great. We definitely plan to return to stay in the future.

Sala at Koh Samui - High Class!Posted May 15, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel is simply breathtaking from the moment you arrive, they make you very special through to the minute you leave! The rooms are amazing! We paid for a private pool room and it was worth every penny, a great experience. The food is amazing, we actually had breakfast, lunch and dinner and it was all top class! Also the spa is great, although slightly overpriced. Will go back again one day!

Excellent resort for honeymoonersPosted Feb 6, 2014
It was a fantastic experience for my wife and I on our honeymoon. The garden villa room is cosy for just the 2 of us. The clean bed, cold aircon, unique outdoor bathroom, private pool and large spread of breakfast selections made our honeymoon stay one that we are already looking back on with great nostalgia. Some things to note that may be of some concern to some are the cosiness of the room and the curtains that don't block out all the sunlight in the morning. The room has enough room to walk around the bed but for the 2 of us, it wasn't an issue. The curtains leaked in sunlight because they didn't sit right up against the window sills so in the morning, sunlight will find its way in. If you don't plan on sleeping in, this isn't be a problem. Overall, a fantastic stay and one to recommend!
