We'd definitely returnPosted Aug 7, 2013
Pros: The size - small & personal - and the staff
Location: Right on the beach on the quiet side of the island
A fantastic small resort away from the madness of Chaweng on the other side of the island. John, the manager, is incredibly helpful and is supported by great staff. Good breakfasts. We had delicious dinners outdoors overlooking the pool and beach on 2/4 nights.

Great boutique hotelPosted Jul 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
Bangrak Beach location is great - steady onshore breeze kept things comfortable - rest of the island inland very warm - Chenwang may be a better beach but with no wind, very uncomfortable - fabulous room - pool and ocean view - wonderful infinity pool.

Excellent HotelPosted Jul 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
To be frank, when I walked into the lobby, I wasn't too happy because it is pretty simple. However, overall experience is excellent. It is a small hotel, and the service is excellent. Jon's suggestions are out of the ordinary. Location is extremely convenient with shops and restaurants just outside the door, and yet inside the hotel is quiet and peaceful. Hotel is right on the beach and their pool and restaurant is also by the beach. It was a great experience to sit at night by the beach and eat dinner or sip the drinks. I will definitely stay there again.

overall a good hotelPosted Feb 5, 2013
Pros: nice swimming pool on the beach the friendly staff
Cons: the demolition noise which has now been completed
Location: away from the night life but easily reached by taxi or bus. Plenty of good and cheap restaurants near by
For a 3.5 star hotel it was better than some 4star hotels we have stayed in.The staff where excellent, very friendly and always greeted us with a smile. They looked after us very well. The manager Jon was very helpful and friendly and provided us with information and any thing we needed to know. What did spoil our stay was the demolition work being carried out next door which lasted for 11 out of our 16 night stay. It was very noisy and dusty and at times it made the rooms tremble like an earthquake. We raised the problem with the manager who was very understanding and offered us an upgrade to another room in 5 days when a room became available. We declined as we only had 6 days left of our holiday and we were very happy with the room we had been allocated with. The demolition work was also finished within the next three days. I appreciate that the demolition work was out of the manager's control as he had not been made aware that the work was to be carried out.We chose this hotel and booked the room as it fully met our requirements and overall we had a wonderful holiday.
