In complete love with the Beach

Posted Sep 11, 2014
Pros: Rooms are great. Access to beach is excellent.
Cons: Staff are not comfortable to speak English.Gave me a wrong advice to cancel fishing trip. But they are friendly and try their best.
Location: For beach lovers only.Nothing much apart from beach. But you go to Kohsumai for enjoying the beach and that's what the resort perfectly offers.
Took a 30 min/150B van ride from Nathon pier. It was raining heavily when i was dropped at resort. Location: In BoPhut - On route to Nathon pier - right on beach - 30 min to Chaweng cityplace,Big Buddha pier - 5 min walk to most basic amenity shops. Room: Super good. I stayed in Economy room. But each room has a specific theme. Bed is large and comfortable. Large balcony with glass doors. swimming pool was right below my room. Aircon was well conditioned. Bathroom was a beauty. Bath tub, shower and quite big for a economy room. The best bath i had ever stayed till today. The resort is pretty large with different category rooms. Most guests were middle aged. Beach: Personal beach for Palm Beach guests - 2 mins walk from room. Take your bath towels from room and soak in cool beach and sleep on the benches - very comfortable - no disturbance around. Can hire jet-ski, paddle for 200B. Bar at beach serves you drink. You can walk around the 2 Km stretch on beach and try different small eateries and massage right on the beach sand. Facility: Complimentary buffet was good.Decent library - free WiFi at library only - option to book most rides from reception itself. Reception: Friendly - But struggle to communicate in English - They gave me wrong weather prediction and asked me to cancel my fishing trip when it actually turned out to be very sunny. Moon watching: I was on a full moon day. Watched the moon rising up with a cup of cappuccino - nice view from the resort beach chairs

Oasis by the Beach

Posted Apr 1, 2014
Our check-in was very friendly and efficient. The hotel complex is quite big, I can only comment on our experience based on the beachfront villa (there seemed to be a lot of rooms near the street). Our villa was one of nine, it was very roomy, clean, quaint and private with a big verandah and it's own grassed area with two sun lounges and umbrella right beside the beach. The water is quite deep so you can actually swim in it and the beach clean. The hotel has two big pools, one near reception and the other by the beach. Breakfast was nice, nothing out of the ordinary. Free Wi-Fi only in computer room and restaurant only, slow connection. For food and drinks I would recommend to stroll along the beach (10 mins) to Fishermans Village. The Bar by pool could do with some music. We enjoyed our stay at the Samui Palm Beach resort, very relaxing and romantic.

Lovely resort on Bo Phut Beach

Posted Mar 24, 2014
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff, nice place to relax, good location, good value for money
Location: Fisherman's Village for drinks and dinner is a must, massages on the beachfront
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - 4 nights as part of our Honeymoon holiday. We received a warm welcome from the staff, and they even gave us a yummy chocolate cake on arrival to our room. Our room was large, clean and comfortable, with a big bathroom and nice balcony overlooking the pool - we were in the Royal Wing. The resort itself is quite large, and luckily it wasn't too busy when we stayed there. The larger pool by the royal wing was almost unused most of our stay. Most guests use the smaller pool closer to the beachfront. The resort and its grounds are clean and well looked after. Breakfast buffet was okay, I think we were over buffets by then so weren't that impressed. There is both Thai and Western selections, salads, breads and pastries and an egg station. It's nice to sit outside on the beachfront and eat breakfast. We didn't eat any other meals at their restaurant. Location is very good for relaxing, the beach is nice, and there are lots of massage places and cheap bars a few doors down. We walked to the Fisherman's Village several times - it's not that far. We also hired a scooter one day, which we did through reception, and I highly recommend doing that to see Koh Samui. Also we liked the fact that the staff come by early in the evening to give you fresh beach towels and replenish the free bottled water. Only negative comment, as with all other resorts we stayed at in Thailand, hard bed and hard pillows (must be a Thai thing

Good hotel

Posted Mar 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel is clean, in good condition, and we had a fast check-in and check-out. We arrived at 11am and although the check-in time was 2pm, they gave us immediately a room - what we really appreciated because we were tired. The location of the hotel is good. The room was big, clean too, with a balcony, and the bed was huge and comfy. The breakfast is good too, food is fresh and tasty and there is a large choice. There are two pools: one "in the rear" of the hotel, and it is very quiet, the other one is in front of the beach and the configuration of the pool is more convenient for kids so there are a lot of families there. So it depends on your needs but they both are great, and you can also go on the beach. I think this hotel is good value for the price because in Ko Samui you can easily get a bad hotel for the same budget or even more expensive.

Great stay

we reserved a disabled access room and did everything we needed for this but they did not have one ready for us when we got there. It was sorted out but we had to wait a bit and change rooms the next day. The beds were uncomfortably rock hard but apart from these things it was a brilliant stay. The breakfast buffet was awesome and its a really beautiful resort with really helpful staff.

Spent 2 days here for Christmas. Was a bit pricey due to the holidays but well worth the $ spent. Rooms were very nice, pool view was exceptional. Great food at restaurant!

relaxing getaway

This was a very quiet and relaxing hotel for what we wanted. Not for those wanting an active, shopping or party time. We loved it and would come back.

Couldnt believe how good it was for 60 bucks a night. Best breakfast with a wide range. awesome pool bar with cheap but strong cocktails, food was cheap but really good. Good massage selection dont really have anything bad to say.
