Very delightful hotel. Staff knowledgeable, attentive, efficient. A couple of the guys just a little too eager to seek "tips" for everything, but otherwise, great. I not only will stay here again, I will recommend to friends and I just booked this hotel for a good friend to stay in on his trip to India.

Central Kolkata LocationPosted Mar 9, 2012
Location: Next door to museum and close to major sites in downtown Kolkata.
Fairly modern hotel in central location. Attentive staff. Some think it is bit pricey.

Close to all the emeities to the traveller.Posted Jan 25, 2012 on Hotels.com
The room allocated was nice and and quiet. I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and the food at the Dynasty restaurant. The waiters were very friendly and was happy to have a conversation. The reception staff were very courteous in giving me direction to places I wanted to go. Thank you and hope one day I can make it again in the future.

Only if you desperate for a roomPosted Dec 19, 2011 on Hotels.com
Found stained top sheets - totally thumbs down for Deluxe price paid. Breakfast spread was good but the quality wasn't - the cut fruits available were old - willingness to serve wasn't bad at all. Overall absolutely bad return on investment.

Will not return unless out of no choicePosted Nov 24, 2010
Room definitely looks really old and rundown for the price I paid. Reason is that for my 2nd night's stay in Kolkata on my return from trekking in Sikkim, I paid about the same rate for Peerless Hotel and the lobby/restaurants of the latter were very bright, new and nice, the rooms were nice and clean, and the sheets and towels were white, compared to a dirty greyish at Lytton. The breakfast area of Lytton was small, but the sole saving grace was the quality of the breakfast - good taste.
