“Nasty”
This had to be one of the worst hotel rooms I've EVER stayed in. The very first thing I noticed when I opened the door to the room is that the fire/smoke alarm was not there. There were wires coming out of a hole on the wall where a fire/smoke alarm should have been mounted. The second thing I noted was the "wet" carpet in front of the sink. After I got settled in, I took my shoes off (I typically go barefooted when I'm indoors). The bottom of my feet looked like I had been walking outside....almost black. Then I found beetles on the floor. Some were dead...some were not. Laying in bed that night, I looked up at the ceiling and saw spider webs....ALOT of spider webs. This motel obviously had some wear on it and was not not very well maintained. The furnishings were at their best, very outdated and very cheap. The paint on the walls did not appear professional as the wall paint was on the ceiling. I will never stay in that hotel again and I relayed this message to the other Alumni who also had traveled for this gathering.
