“solid option”
I booked this very last minute during the busy season for Hong Kong (early November). In needed to keep costs down, but didnt want to stay at a bad place. The hotel is very central if you know how to take bus routes in HK but I did not know and had a friend who lives in Hong Kong to show me around. The hotel is small like all rooms in HK but very clean and functional. The shower was very good, all the amenities worked, and I slept very well. I would call this a solid 3 star (of 5) hotel. One thing I was very annoyed about was the charge for internet. Dont nickel and dime me. Internet should be standard anywhere you go.
“Secluded and needs good knowledge of transportation.”
It was a pleasant stay, and hotel staff were very efficient, check-in was quick, and the special request that I had made at the time of reservation was met when I checked-in without me asking for it again.
“It's in the area of good thai food”
First thing I noticed was that they have no bell boy but it didn't matter with our limited amount of luggage. Then we noticed the toilet flush button didn't work. Overall this is a good hotel.
“Good Hotel but far from airport”
Hotel is fine but just an FYI it about 35 min on taxi from airport charge will be 250 HKG dollars. Bus will take 1 hour. Location is good. Internet is not free.
“Great for the$”
Staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. The mouthwash was lined up with the other free things like shampoo, etc. I mistakenly used it thinking it was free. Not a big deal but I felt a bit duped buying a $15.00 HK bottle of mouthwash that held about 3 rinses. Yeah, I'm just whinning over nothing. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. It's really a nice place and I'll definitely return.
“good value for a nice hotel.”
good if you know your way around kowloon city. lots of local flavor. the public light bus can take you to mongkok and nathan road for $6 HK per trip and it takes only 15 minutes.
“It is good :)”
its good :) but quite expensive .. better pay online via expedia to avail discounts :) otherwise blah blah :) :)
“Nice Hotel- Awful Location”
Face it- the reviewers gave this hotel more credit than what it is worth. Even the map made it look closer to the action that what it really is. CON: No spa, pool or even attractive scenary. My bedroom window looked out into an abandon building. The neighborhood that surronds this hotel is run down. Nothing to do- not even a movie theater. Most people take a cab- about 30 minutes to the malls, shopping alleys and basically any life outside of the neighborhood that you don't want to vacation in. The money saved on a room is money spent in a cab going to/from this hotel. Most taxi cabs don't know about this hotel (or straight-up lie to you) and will take you to the Regal Hotel (not Regal Oriental Hotel) in Kowloon. I was lucky and got one of the reception personnel to write down this hotel in Chinese characters. PRO: Despite the run down buildings and awful location, the neighborhood has some pretty cheap prices on the same goods you would pay more for in the shopping alleys/malls. The bar is good (nothing great). Attractive night-time scenary at the top of this hotel. The rooms are quite nice actually. Wi-Fi is great. A/C is good. Beds are somewhat hard, but I've slept on worse in other hotels. Two shower heads in the room I was in. CONCLUSION: This is a good 3 to 4 star hotel- but the location makes me never to want to go back there again unless they had more (standard) stuff to offer (I.e. a pool, spa, jacuzzi). You get what you pay for...
“worth its reasonable price”
Great hotel for its reasonable price. Excellent service: gave us baby crib and extra blankets right away upon request. Decent size room for Hong Kong.
“Hotel quality”
They have given me a room with no electricity of and wrong connection of internet. After the complain, they have made a perfect recovery.
