On a Quiet BeachPosted Feb 20, 2014
Pros: The staff, cost, and location. Plus, walks on the beach, great pool, beautiful sunsets.
Location: Si Kao is fairly remote. There are plenty of water/nature activities, but no restaurants, shopping, bars, etc.. This is a great get-away.
We stayed for two nights. Although it was the high season, the entire area was quiet and very relaxing. A fantastic stay.

A gemPosted Dec 17, 2013
My girlfriend a i stayed here for 6 nights and it was nothing short of amazing. Friendliest staff, beautiful scenery and fantastic food. Only drawback would be the beach which isn't ideal for sunbathing due to thousands of sea shells. Thoroughly recommend the organised trip to the emerald cave. A very special experience!! Go.

Slight decline from recent pastPosted Aug 16, 2013
The hotel has seen a decline in maintenance and upkeep from where it was 3-4 years ago. Some of the staff are not properly trained but all try very hard. Overall still a nice place just not what it used to be.

NIcest hotel with beach location in ThailandPosted Jul 3, 2013
Pros: ideal location for couples
Cons: make steps to parking area
Location: small village with many great restaurants, as well as local flavors and activities
This hotel is rated 4 star but seems like 5 star experience, the location is more remote than those at crowded beaches, yet far superior to those when considering comfort, beach and hotel amenities. This is second visit to this property in 2 years and both times, has exceeded my expectations. For a quiet, comfortable, lovely stay this is your best choice.

Beautiful resortPosted Jan 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
Me and my wife honeymooned there for 4 nights. It was beautiful. There staff were friendly and the rooms were spacious. The resort was well maintained and had lots of amenities. The resort is a bit out of the way, so it'll be good if your looking for some peace and tranquility. Food and service is quite expensive but expected. Thanks Anantara!

Anantara Si Kao Resort KrabiPosted Jan 1, 2012 on Hotels.com
Beautiful location, serene n peaceful place. Too far from anywhere. Hour and half from airport instead of an hour stated on website. Its great to be in the middle of nowhere, we like that and kids friendly too, even though kids facilities was not that great. But to be in the middle of nowhere, we need decent service and edible food (Italian restaurant was great, thai food didnt taste authentic, breakfast was average, all drinks was just made with too much ice!), which we didnt get. So we werent satisfied at all. Didnt feel any service provided at all to make our stay enjoyable, pampered, pleasant, other than basic service ie. staff behind bars and waiters to place our orders. We'd be at the beach with noboy offering water/refreshments, had to walk all the way back to restaurants to get our own needs. Didnt feel place was kept clean properly, dust balls everywhere, unemptied bins for days, running down place. Lots of staff around but not many speak/understand english, not efficient, not hard worker, no initiative. Massage wasnt satisfying for an Asian like me who gets massages regularly. Specifically asked for a muscle tension release (meaning hard massage) but it was just a rub, even I asked masseuse to massage harder. Daughter had usual hair braids like whenever/wherever we go on beach vacation, staff didnt seem to be an expert, took 2 hours, slower than our experience. Went to what they claimed to be their private island getaway, with their shuttle boat, turned out to be not so private Anantara own beach house which anybody can come to eat at their restaurant and use their rest rooms. The island itself was visited by everybody else in Thailand.

Excellent hideawayPosted Jul 15, 2009
Excellent hideaway. Huge room, big terrace, and beautiful sea view. Lots of activity in the hotel. Can even order food if you do not like what is offered on the breakfast buffet.
