Stunning relaxing getawayPosted Apr 2, 2013
This hotel is Stunning and AMAZING! We stayed here after a whirlwind of airplanes, train, taxi, and tuk tuk madness in bangkok. What an oasis. Clean air, clean beach, clean hotel!! Excellent service, great breakfast buffet (they even had tofu, I'm vegan) if you are looking to be in the middle of nightlife this is not the place for you- it's a relaxing place far from all the hustle and bustle! They do offer a shuttle that drops you off at 1700 and picks you up at 2100, for 200 bhat once a day which i would recommend just so you can maybe try a different restaurant (there's was decent) I visited their spa for a massage and facial, little pricey for the treatment but still good. There are long boats that come right up to the hotel beach that offer day trips. I LOVED this hotel!

Good for the Price and Location otherwise datedPosted Mar 20, 2013
Pros: Good location and free canoe
Cons: Dated, very 2006, staff not friendly
Location: Best beaches in Thailand for family and relaxation by miles! and I am Thai
Location of the hotel is excellent. Right by the beach. Service is reasonable although not what I call friendly and more to do with how much more money they can get out of you like booking Taxi. Breakfast was good but not excellant has enough selection and the location is good for breakfast place. They also have free vanoe to use and cocktail is reasonable. WOuld I come back to this location of Krabi - Yes. Would I stay at this hotel - No. I would pprobably pick the hotel next to it the Amari which has excellent Lunch, service and singer in the evening!

A Deal that could be much BetterPosted Mar 11, 2013
Pros: NIce food, friendly staff
Cons: 1) Waiting for service in the restaurant - 2) kareoke style singer was of pretty low quality and more of nusance than a compliment to the atmoshere.
Location: Close enough to main town if you rented a scotter, which was much cheaper than taking a taxi back and forth everywhere.
Buffet breakfast was satisfactory. The single on site restaraunt had vey good food, yet very poor service. Staff did not seem to know what they were suppose to be doing, were friendly, but not attentive to the guests. I had a word with the hotel manager on a few occasions with regard to the very poor service and was told that it was a work in process. Teh manager was clearly concerned and apologetic, but offered nothing in return for the inconvenience. At one stage it took one hour to get a coffee, when only four other guests were in the restaraunt and after the wait, they had forgotten to put my single order in for an appetizer. When we tried to walk away after not being given the bill for another 20 minutes for just the coffee (I cancelled the food), they made sure to chase us down at the pool to sign the check. Hotel accommodations and location were good, and if the food service were corrected, I would be happy to recommend this hotel to others

secluded hotelPosted Mar 3, 2013
Pros: hotel features of ponds fountains etc
Cons: staff didnt have great communication skills
the hotel was very nice to stay in we had a bath tub on the balcony which was lovely. The beach however wasnt great ... they could do with someone going around and cleaning it. The hotel is very far from anything and you are unable to walk to the local shops. however if your looking for a place to hide away with that special person than this will give u the space and silence.

Romantic hideawayPosted Mar 1, 2013
Pros: staff were excellent
Cons: Not enough dining options
Location: Remote but easily accessible 300baht into Ao Nang or 10 mins from the local village were there is irish pub and terrace restaurant
We had booked a deluxe pool access room, but when we arrived it was not available and they upgraded our room to a jacuzzi room, this was nice but we had specifically wanted pool access manger then gave us our own villa with a pool which we found very kind. Pool is nice and food is lovely although only one restaurant to choose from fro breakfast and one for lunch and dinner which was a bit same same but we got a scooter and went into ao nang most nights anyway so didnt mind. Staff are very pleasant and security is 24 hours felt very safe and private beach was lovely with massage on the beach just a minutes walk, long tail boats readily available for use also

Excellent value in a gorgeous location!Posted Feb 16, 2013
Pros: The food was exceptional.
Cons: The lawn furniture needed repair or replacement.
The location of this hotel is perfect if you prefer a quieter location as there are only a few hotels on the beach and the nearest town is a short cab ride away. The views are beautiful and ever changing with the tides. Our room was in the oldest part of the hotel and we had a great view from our balcony since the resort is on a hill. The rooms were spacious and clean. The bathroom was huge with a nice tub and separate shower. The food in the restaurant was simply amazing. We stuck to the Thai dishes and were not disappointed. It is located right next to the water so the ambiance was perfect. The service was friendly and accommodating. Most of the staff spoke English quite well. The breakfast that was included was a large buffet offering a variety of western breakfast items, made to order omelettes, Thai choices and even dim sum. On the negative side, the furniture was not as comfortable as other hotels we've stayed in and the lawn chairs were in serious need of replacement. While the hotel offers a spa in a nice setting, there is also a Thai massage hut on the beach. Long tail boats also arrive each morning to offer rides to nearby islands and beaches. The prices are very reasonable and our captain was very flexible in his schedule. He was also a great guide in pointing out things of interest. We highly recommend the trip to Koh Hong. We would definitely stay there again.

Relaxing Location. Nice Hotel!Posted Jan 15, 2013
This is a nice hotel with friendly staff. The hotel manager was particularly friendly and would alway ask whether eveything was to our satisafaction. The quality of food was good and a there was a great range of western and Thai favourites. My only concern is the dinner service can get a little slow when the restaurant gets busy. The hotel had a mix of couples and families; so having more than one swimming pool is a good if you want to get some peace and quiet. Overall, I would recommend staying at this hotel.

Great hotel !!! Great beach !!Posted Oct 7, 2012
Pros: The beach is beautiful !! rooms are very big, nice pool facing the sea.
Location: This beach is 20 min away from AoNang town, not so far. This is perfect if you want to relax. The only noise you will hear is the sea, and birds..
The Hotel is beautiful!! beachfront, with great sunset views, nice pool, nice food, great staff. The room was super nice, very big, with a jacuzzi. The staff gave us an upgrade so we were very happy =) they also decorated our room since we were celebrating wedding anniversary. There is only 3 hotels on this beach, so these are the food restaurants options. For us was perfect, very quiet, very relaxing... If you want to visit near beaches, there are long tail boats around that can take you there. We came to Krabi after staying in Phuket for 3 days, so this was perfect!! quite, clean, beautiful!
