Front Desk has terrible manners

Pros: the design of the room
Cons: everything could be improved. You just have to read feedback given by guests and work on it.
Location: Aonang Beach was the closest to shopping and dine. we always traveled there by the public transport available which cost about 10-12 bhatt.
When we first arrived at the hotel it was totally not what was expected as shown in Expedia. maybe it was because of its surroundings and such but we were not greeted well by the front desk. the ambiance was very dark and gloomy and unwelcoming. We were led to our rooms using the stairs as the lift service was down. After discovering the room was in an unsatisfying condition the hotelier agreed to check on another room that was available. to my surprise she never got back to us, even after calling them and asking them. Staff there especially front desk had no manners at all and had no respect for guests that are coming to stay at their hotel. This hotel looks very grand and renowned but maybe after a change in management things changed. i would say my experience in this hotel was somehow a con. everything that was featured in the website was totally up to none of our expectations. maybe its because the price was cheap and that was what made us convinced in the first place.

Cons: Could provide an international electrical plug adaptor.
Location: Directly opposite the beach, could rent a motorcycle at 200 Baht per day near by the shops on the main road in front of the hotel. Good seafood around
The hotel is about 40 minutes away from the airport. It is within walking distance on the left to the Wang Sai seafood restaurant and on the right to the Kruathara Thai seafood restaurant at the pier. They are many local tour agents along the main street for the Islands hopping, snorkelling and diving tours. Their prices are very competitive. We have joined the 7 islands hopping and sunset sighting tour which includes fruits on board of the longtail boat and the BBQ dinner on the private beach where sunset viewing is taken place. We have also rented a Honda motorcycle @ 200 baht a day from a rental shop on the main street in front of the hotel. It's very convenient and we ride from hotel to the Krabi town for city tour. It took around 20 mins to reach the town. We enjoy the stay in this hotel and the holidays in Krabi.

Hotel "Temple of Gloom" in Ao Nang, Krabi!!

Pros: The spacious room

Location: The location was good in the fact that it was on the outskirts of Ao Nang and not in the hub of the town.
We had a very poor experience at this hotel!! Although it was very grande and structurally fantastic to look at, that is where the good points ended! It was in desperate need of rennovation. After travelling for 3 weeks in Australia and then getting there to be told there was no iron available at the hotel and no tea & coffee provided despite a kettle, cups and a fridge in the room that was our initial disappointment. The "duty manager" was very unfriendly and unwilling to try and help at all. He had a school master attitude. There was only 1 restaurant available and no bars or anywhere to get a drink in the hotel out of breakfast time... This is not as advertised!!!! Breakfast was a joke!..... the staff again were very unhelpful and unattentive. There was never any tables ready, no cutlery/napkins/clean dishes readily available without hunting yourself around the room for them. The food was all left uncovered and had flies swarming around it constantly. The pool was again great to look at structurally and a good design but was becoming delapidated with rusty umberellas and furniture Our hotelexperience here was so bad with that our special holiday therefore ended on a very disappointing way

The first night we stayed at the Success Wing and I had to say that this wing needs some work. Fortunately, we only stayed one night there and then we moved to Ayodhaya, which was much better. At Ayodhaya, our stay was much improved. Room was nice and comfortable and customer service was good. However, we did not have hot water until we talked to customer service and our room phone did not work throughout our stay at Ayodhaya. Breakfast was alright. We find that the location is a bit far off from the main entertainment centre but definitely, is good if one wants peace and quietness. It is close to the beach and that is a plus. Customer service was the best in this hotel. Basically, anything they can do to help, they will do their best.

Not happy

Location: Not central but nice if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle.
When we checked in to the Aonang Ayodhaya Resort & Spa we were told that the "Superior room in the Success wing" was in the next building. The building is in fact a 2.5 star hotel next door...Success Beach Resort. I did complain to the manager about this and advised that as a travel agent I will never be recommending clients to that hotel if this is the case. I can't complain about the price but if I think getting a great deal in a 4.5 star hotel, I want a 4.5 star hotel, not a run down 2.5 star. Although the room was quite pleasant to the eye the rest of this "wing" was absolutely appalling. The outside of both hotels is in major need of re-furb particularly the pool areas. The furniture on either side is very old and outdated.

it was a nice place to stay. The ladies at the front counter were very friendly and always smiling. The food there was expensive so I would recommend eating at restaraunts down the road. It is a little out of town. We had nice walks down the beach to our hotel though. There is always a tuk tuk sitting outside of the hotel to give you a ride though, which is convenient. The room was clean and quite big.

It is a Temple theme hotel in Ao Nang, krabi. Nothing special aboit this hotel, very run down. We booked a family room for 4 people and planned to stay for 2 nights but end up stayed for a night because the ac in the front room were not owrking,
