first trip to Krabi

Posted Sep 3, 2014
Pros: spacious room, nice balcony. good location
Cons: should install free wifi in rooms and also even if u do charge pls allow multiple users to log into one ID instead of only one user per user
Location: about 10 mins walk to main area of Ao Nang. theres plenty of shops to buy souvenirs and also plenty of good restaurants nearby to enjoy nice seafood.
Overall it was a pleasant stay at Aree Tara. Location was pretty accessible to main hot spots of Ao Nang. The staffs were nice, helpful and polite. They were nice enough to upgrade my room from superior to a deluxe one for free. Room was clean and spacious only thing missing was toothbrush in the washroom. One bad pointer is that that theres no free wi-fi in the room and upon purchasing, one ID is entitled for one user which shouldn't be the case.

Popular hotel in Aonang

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: Clean and modern furnishing.
Cons: Wifi provided in the rooms.
Location: Near to many restaurants and shops. Beach look dirty to us so didn't swim there but take a tour to nearby islands where the sea is clearer.
We drove to the hotel from the airport and from the map given by Budget, we found the hotel. (The GPS we brought has AreeTara, but led us to the next lane). We managed to park our car in front of the hotel 2 out of the 3 nights we stayed there. Limited parking space. The hotel is quite pleasant with a small but decent pool. We had no problem checking in but had to lug our luggages to the 2nd floor without a lift. We requested for another single bed which they charged 500B with breakfast. My whole family complained about the lack of free wifi in the room and its really a hassel to go down to the lobby to use the free wifi. For 30mins, they charge 50B and they have a rate for up to 3 hours. I paid more for the deluxe room and thought AreeTara should just throw in the free wifi. There are really alot of hotel options around and we thought that Centara, which is nearby is another good option for the family. Its really convenient & cheap to have a car to drive around which we got for 499B from Budget online. Parking in Krabi is free everywhere and you can just park in front of the shops without problems.

Nice hotel

Nice hotel with everything you need, staff were helpful and it's only a 10 minute walk to both the main beaches in Ao Nang. Breakfast had a good range with lots of Halal food (only place we noticed this in Thailand) although it would have been better if I could get bacon with my eggs. No big deal though. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Good value for money. Pool could get better sun coverage but I suppose they have to make do with the space they have.

Hotel was good, swimming pool area poor

Pros: Staff were very pleasant.
Cons: Room Wifi seemed to have a mind of its own, maybe this should be included in the room charge rather than a pay as you go facility which didn't well.
Enjoyed the stay, hotel staff were good, Room was good and Krabi was excellent. Will happily return.

Great hotel in a good location

Posted Feb 22, 2014
Pros: Right price right location
Cons: Nothing, it it what it is.
Location: The beach is good, but the creek can be a bit smelly, once past that the beaches are great the sea is good.
We stayed at this hotel due to its proximity to the beach. It turns out that it was an excellent choice. Just on the outskirts of Ao Nang it was close to the beach but also good for the nightlife. Yes there is some noise from the buildings going up opposite but its not too bad. The pool is not so great as its mostly in the shade, but it was clean and well presented. We would stay here again.

Strategically 5-10 minutes away beach

Posted Feb 19, 2014
Pros: Location wise
Cons: Breakfast to be improve by offering more varieties rather than same american breakfast almost everyday
Location: Shopping with bargaining opportunity & easy access to tour agencies
Tired despite all the fun walking around and cruising to islands And best of all, sunset barbecue at one of the island is the best experience so far.

Good experience. It was hidden in quiet area and not too far from the beach.
