Phi Phi fun

Loved the quietness of being the last resort in a string of hotels. Beautiful views. But really really hot/humid. Hated the massive set of stairs going to our bungalow

Ikke å anbefale

Posted Apr 3, 2015 on Hotels

Well situated hotel on a private beach

Posted Mar 26, 2015
Hotel staff at reception could improve. They seem unhappy with processing so many tourists. After a 2 hour treck on a hot day by ferry, the hotel is supposed to pick you up at the pier on a long boat to take you to the hotel. They showed up with a poor worker who didn't come with a boat and had to walk all through town in over 100 degree weather and through a beach with our luggage because they said the tide was too low to get the long boat out although all other resorts had their's waiting there. Otherwise the room we booked on the ocean was beautiful and air conditioning worked well. Warning ! - This hotel is not for the faint at heart cause there are many stairs and hills to get to your room but once you've arrived, the view is beautiful, Maid was excellent and always gave us what we wanted greeting us with amazing designs on our beds with towels and flowers. Tip them and you'll get the same. We moved after 5 days to a hotel next door for the natural settings we loved at the Viking Natural Resort but enjoyed our stay at the Bay View as well and would recommend.

Great view rude front desk staff

There is a long boat that brings you from the pier. Beware you must get out of the long boat and step into the sea to walk to the hotel. The workers carry your luggage on their shoulders. Once you have gotten over how amazing it is to be situated at such a breathtaking location, checking in is sure to burst your bubble. Hotel staff here are quite rude. Overall, the rooms are good. Little villas atop a hill overlooking the sea and mountains. Gorgeous views. Steep walkways in and around resort. Lanais are wonderful after long days of snorkeling or beaching yourself. Beach is ok. The constant boat traffic stirs up the water so its murky rocky and over powered by sea weed and algae. If you want to lay out a lot of loungers and umbrellas available. The restaurant onsite is ok. Food not really expensive but stick with the Thai stuff. The restaurant staff was very friendly. If you prefer, there are a couple places at the market down the beach to eat. Moderately priced but more authentic locally run also they offer service with a smile. The breakfast at the hotel is ok. Overall this place is good. Nice rooms great views hard bed

Beat surprise ever

We booked our hotel at bay view resort for March. We stayed for two nights at the start of our trip. It was an amazing stay the view from our beach was majestic overseeing phi phi leh, the staff were very hospitiable and the food and drinks were lovely. Our room had great views overlooking phi phi leh and the evenings were very chilled and laid back away from all the loud music and clubbing scene of the city centre. If your looking for paradise you should visit bay view resort.

A bit disappointing to be honest

Posted Mar 14, 2015 on Hotels
We stayed for 2 nights. The hotel is close to the pier,10 mins by long tail boat (free) or 15 mins walking. Reception staff are semi friendly, but it is advisable to learn some basic Thai as I found effective communication in English a major problem. I booked a room on hotels.com and it said "superior room in new wing". It failed to mention that the room (small bungalow) would be up a small mountain. It was impossible to walk as we were on the 7th level. The hotel provided a free tuc tuc taxi service but it is a bit of a scary journey up to the room and sometimes you have to wait 10 or 15 mins for the taxi. When we arrived the room was clean. But the water is a yellowy-brown colour. The hotel provides free bottles of water which can be used to make tea/brush your teeth etc. Be careful with the kettle, it boils over, they all do, we had 4! The food (lunch/dinner) in the restaurant is lovely. The breakfast is ok. They make fresh omelettes at the back of the restaurant - no sign. Room service is tasty too but be careful that they bring you the correct order. We explained ours 8 times, but when the food arrived half an hour later, 2 out of 3 items were wrong. When we called to advise them, they told us that the kitchen was closed. So I had to go bed hungry that night. I must thank "NORRIS" at reception as he offered good service recovery by making me my preferred sandwich the next day. *TIP I heard that the rooms with an ocean view are lovely

Si buscas algo tranquilo y céntrico es la opción perfecta, lo único de malo es que las habitaciones quedaban muy arriba de la colina, para llegar se tenia que caminar mucho y subir por un camino súper empinado dificultoso.
