Hotel in a good location.

Pros: Several staff are very friendly and are willing to help.
Cons: Front desk attitude and language understanding. Ensure lift is working at all times.
Location: Hotel is within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Good location. Walking distance to beach.
First day we arrived and only lift was not working and our room was on the 7th floor. Was told by hotel staff problem would be rectified by 6pm. After that the staff gave us all sorts of excuses. Finally lift worked at about 8pm. Front desk staff could not speak or understand English. Breakfast was the same every day. Got bored with it. Hotel condition is a little rundown compared to its photos on the net. Swimming pool is located on the second floor and is average. The pool can also be accessed directly by the rooms on the 2nd floor. Therefore security may be an issues for these rooms. Hotel is situated on a small hill. So be prepared to walk up.

Reliable hotel

I did not actually stay at this Krabi Cha-da, but am rating it highly because the staff did an excellent job handling a difficult situation. My husband and I arrived at the hotel only to find out that they were having some problems with their air conditioning. Recognizing that our stay would likely be uncomfortable without air conditioning, the staff had already taken the initiative to book my husband and I in another resort right on the beach for the duration of our stay - at the same price. I checked the prices for the replacement hotel and it would have cost quite a bit more had we booked their initially. I appreciate that the staff at Krabi Cha-da made our trip hassle free.

Nice and clean hotel

Pros: Staff was kind and rooms were nice and clean, as was the pool side.
Cons: Kitchen, all together; morning coffee (quite terrible) with cold 'warm' dishes (fat, cold, tough bacon). Also dissapointing dinners. Internet !!!
I just spent a week (together with 5 family members) at the resort, which was very dissapointing in two regards: The kitchen was awfull - especially breakfast and dinner was very bad, whereas poolside lunch was all right. The second dissapointment was the very unstable and limited internet and the total lack of competence of the staff to solve the ongoing problems in this regards. Service by the pool side/bar was very, very slow.

This hotel is just great! very tastefully decorated, comfortable and clean. I would highly recommend it to everyone.

Not a good place to stay

I stayed in rive different hotels over a two week period in krabi. This was by far the worst of them. The bed was so noisy you couldn't get into or out of it without waking up the rest of the hotel it seemed. The hot water is on some weird system that is almost impossible to get to work and when it does the water is not powerful. They never turned the pool lights on after dark. The hallways are dark and scary. I had bugs coming in under the door like an army after dark and had to put a towel there to stop them. The mantenence man walked right into my room without knocking right when my girlfriend was changing clothes. Didn't even say sorry or thank you for that matter because he got quite a free show. They charge you to use the Internet even if you only use it in there lobby. First time I have ever had a hotel that greedy. They charged me almost 2000 baht for a quick call to an airline 800 number. They charged me 600 baht to drive me to them from another hotel. The location is not good either. And the breakfast was horrible. All in all my girlfriend and I were really disappointed here. I don't know how in the world this place can be rated so high. Like I said before, we stayed at five different places. This is the only one we didn't like at all.
