“Great place to stay!”

Great new hotel at a great price! Food nice and reasonable for hotel prices. Room lovely and cool with everything you need. Modern theme to hotel with friendly staff.

“Outstanding hotel with charm and contemporary eleg”

The hotel is sublime in almost every way. Excellent location, away from the noise of the shopping/restaurant areas, but an easy walk to those areas. The staff is highly professional and attentive. During my stay, several called me by name - this in quite a large hotel! The grounds are gorgeous, built around a series of picturesque, sleek swimming pools. The rooms are spacious and luxurious. The food was god, but not fantastic.

“Mercure”

very nice hotel with good rooms surrounding central swimming pool. A short walk (ten mins) from the beach and town but that means nice and quiet. The quality you would expect from a large chain hotel with very friendly helpful local staff. Happy hour at pool bar (50%) 4 to 6 pm can save you money if you need a cocktail or two. Plenty of local bars and cafes

“great place”

Great place its new. its on a side street off of the main drag. Its quite preferrable. Its only cost 20bhat to take a tuk tuk to the main area. Its new, clean, gym and 1 restaurant. The pool is nice as well I would say its 3 or 4 star. You cant compare it to a luxery resort, but its new and clean

“Pleasing on the eye”

A decent hotel situated a short walk to the main area of life. The layout and facilities were quite good and I reckon the evening meal I had in the restaurant was the best I had during my whole stay in Thailand.

“New and clean - but not great”

The hotel is new and as a result everything is in good repair. About a 15 minute walk from the main road and the lobby and dining areas are nice. Good breakfast but at 450 baht/pp quite pricey. Beds were softer and more comfortable than many others in Thailand. The front desk spoke broken English and took a long time to process or do anything. We spent lots of time waiting in the very hot lobby! The TV's had no movie channels and only few rooms have DVD players, so all we could watch was CNN. There was never anyone at the travel desk which was frustrating. Pools are good but small and because some rooms have pool access, you feel uncomfortable swimming right outside other people's rooms. Guests acted like it was their private pool which made things awkward. Pools tunnelled between buildings so not much sunshine and a little like being in a canyon. There are a few computers in the lobby but you have to pay for internet use. Overall ok but not 4 star hotel.

“Let down by swimming pool”

No faults with the hotel itself, but let down by an awful pool which is long and very narrow, sandwiched in a space between a four and five storey block, with rooms with open balconies opening on to one side of the pool. Hence lack of privacy for people in the ground floor rooms, and a feeling of intrusion by others. Width of pool adequate for one or max two swimmers at a time. Horrible!
