Hotel right infront of the famous Railay beach

Posted Jul 14, 2015
Had a two nights stay here during Krabi's low season. We had the deluxe room and was impressed by the spacious room filled with Thai decorations and scent! The staff or their services was just average. Dinning and shopping were definitely not the best here at Railay, you will have better luck with Ao Nang.

Beautiful location, friendly staff, nice meals.

Pros: The location was amazing, nice beach and pool. West Railay is definitely the nicer side than the East. The staff were fabulous and the meals were yum.
Cons: This resort is need of some maintenance including furniture, paint, rising damp issues, decent pillows and the bathroom tiles need a good scrub.
Location: We enjoyed walking to the caves, rock climbing, shopping and exploring. Also plenty of tours to do including island hopping and snorkeling.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Railay Bay Resort. I have never complained before, however our initial Deluxe room which I booked for 7 nights smelt of mold and the aircon was really noisy. We were moved into a second story room which was better. The pillows were lumpy with no protectors and the bathroom tiles needed a good scrub all over. This resort has potential to be really nice, but unfortunately I didn't think our room was of a 4 star standard. The resort has 2 nice pools, one overlooking the beach which is truly amazing, the meals were really nice and the breakfast was great. The staff work so hard and are always friendly. I think they all deserve a holiday themselves! Unfortunately we could still smell the burning of plastic which is a shame, although in general Thailand seems to becoming more conscious of disposing and recycling their rubbish which is great to see. We noticed that there was still a fair bit of rubbished washed up on the beach each day and sometimes workers would clean it up and other days they did not. Thailand and particularly Railay is such a special and beautiful place so I hope that things continue to improve, otherwise, eventually less people will come.

Nice cheap hotel to stay for a couple of days

Posted Jul 3, 2015
If you are backpacking and don't care much about lots of cleanliness, this is a good hotel for you. It could be much better, but you need to walk through streets that smell bad.. The good thing is that you can walk to a climbing wall, restaurants and a beautiful beach.

Cons: Luminosité des chambres
Agréablement surpris par l'emplacement de l'hotel. A l'arrivé un peu déçu par l'éclairage de la chambre et de la salle d'eau.

Amazing location

Pros: Location
Hotel has an amazing location in railay. Breakfasts were nice and all staff pleasant, small areas could do with a bit of TLC, but on the whole we really enjoyed our stay.

Top Lage und sehr kinderfreundlich

Hotel eignet sich gut für Kinder! Hotelanlage in gutem Zustand. Essen etwas überteuert und nicht speziell "authentisch". Besser auf Railay Süd bei "Mama Kitchen" oder "Last Bar" essen gehen.

Pros: The cove views
Cons: food, beds, shower
Location: Bring a Frisbee, paddle ball, deck of cards, or other easy sources of entertainment. We enjoyed yoga by the rear pool and at the beach.
Stunningly beautiful natural scenery. A few hearty, scenic hikes. Warm, salty water to float and swim in, but we got stung by jelly fish and my daughter got multiple bites under her bathing suit (all sensitive areas) by a microorganism in the water. Abundant trash/litter strewn and piled throughout island and floating in water. Too many tourists accommodated on boat tours each day; literally hundreds at a time on a tiny beach cove. Need to limit daily capacities on each island to preserve beauty and serenity of the experience. Fun snorkeling - clear, warm water and many sea creature sightings. Disappointing food quality in hotel restaurant. Seek out the Aussie kabob guy, the Real Coffee house, and the Pranang local cuisine cafe for delicious alternatives. Mosquitos in hotel room (unscreened bathroom vent window left open prior to our arrival; sliding doors left open during daily cleaning). Beds excruciatingly hard; felt like sleeping on a piece of plywood with a thin layer of foam. Shower heads need replacement for proper, comfortable water flow. Two varieties of wild monkeys are very entertaining to watch. Okay to feed them banana or fresh coconut.
