“Disappointed overall”
I'd booked this hotel despite the bad reviews, which I can now add to(!):
1. Check-in took 30 minutes because they couldn't locate our booking at first
2. We were given a double room despite booking a twin. They said no other twin rooms were left, and it took us another 15 minutes of negotiating before they gave us a slightly better twin bed room.
3. Room safe was locked, which only the manager can unlock. The Manager works till 5pm, and after fluffing around with check-in, we'd missed him. The next day, we were told he'd be in our room in 90 minutes. We gave up.
4. There are limited pool towels, and tend to run out by the afternoon. On our first pool visit, we spoke to 3 different staff members to get towels, and 1hr later realised that we'd gotten nowhere. Be prepared to walk back to your room wet. This happened twice on our trip!
On the upside, breakfast was fine, and the rest of the staff were pleasant (although clueless)
