“The 'Ravi' exceeds expectations”
From a hillside overlooking a long straight beach running perpendicular into the distance, this hotel either satisfied or surpassed my wife's and my expectations in every way. The high-cielinged, clean modern room was well laid out, and very well appointed. A daily lavish breakfast buffet, beautiful pools and ocean swimming, and a staff that provided excellent, accommodating service whilst still maintaining a feel of genuine thai hospitality provided the icing on the cake for the rare find indeed: the perfect resort stay. I really wouldn't have changed a thing: a well managed, beautiful resort hotel in a lovely small beach town in Koh Lanta.
“We'll be back”
We had an absolutely wonderful time at the (now re-named) Langham Place. The hotel minivan picked us up at Krabi airport and it took 2.5 hours, including two ferries to get there. However, it is an enjoyable journey and it was worth it as this is a spot of luxury on an as yet largely unspoiled piece of coastline. The resort complex has all you could want for an enjoyable, yet peaceful stay, including large adults' and childrens' pools and a great beach-front location. The only minor quibble was that the "activities" were not well described and advertised and some were not running (we were assured that this will be better in (2009). Good restaurants on-site, but lots of places in the small town outside also (and much cheaper).
“Stunning”
If you are looking for peace and tranquility this is the place for you. Ko lanta is a beautiful part of Thailand and the Rawi Warin captures this so well. The pool area is a fabulous place to relax with the beach a seconds walk away. The sea view deluxe room was huge with lovely views and great bathroom. Staff are great. Overall stay wonderful. Dont forget to watch the sunset with a cocktail!
“Very beautiful resort with very friendly staff, the best in Ko Lanta.”
This resort exceeded our expectations! They spoke excellent English (which was a must) and it was very easy to communicate with all the staff. This resort was beautiful and the villas were gorgeous. Amenities included a library where you could borrow DVD's, 3 restaurants, a well-equipped gym, a tailor, a bakery, a jacuzzi, an amazing pool and a very nice gift shop. The staff were all nice, especially our driver, Bank, who drove us to the Krabi airport upon our departure. The transportation was arranged for us free of charge. And the service was just incredible - the best we've ever had. When I go back to Lanta, I will definitely stay in this resort again.
“Amazing resort on Ko Lanta”
Had an amazing time at Langham Place Eco Resort. There are not a lot of nice resorts on Ko Lanta and this is one of the few. Exceptional service. Beautiful grounds with an infinity swimming pool and close to the beach. The room itself is big, spacious and a gorgeous shower with a rain showerhead. They even have a private movie screening room.
“Out of this world”
Just come back from our two week Honeymoon in what proved to be an absolutely fantastic resort The Sea View Villa we staid in as well as the hotels other facilities were out of this world, and the staff were extremely friendly and always happy to help. The internet and games rooms were a little bit grubby and they could do with buying s couple of new windsurfs but these are minor points. A definate thumbs up 5 star recommendation for a honeymoon or just if you fancy a holiday in the lap of luxuary
“Great Value in the Low Season”
We had an amazing view on the top floor of the one of the highest buildings. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food was great. Stay here in the off season for the best value and service.
“Wow”
This place greatly exceeded my expectations. The room was large and spacious. Great balcony and view of the beach. The grounds of the estate are immaculate and beautiful. Great pool for adults and separate for children. The only thing I would like to have seen was a hot tub. The hotel staff were excellent and provided great information about getting around the area and nearby restaurants.
“A modern oasis in the madness”
This is not just a hotel but a resort. Stunning views from a superbly furnished and serviced room excluding the massive pillows that were not for me. Very friendly staff and excellent choice for breakfast and evening barbecue although a lot more pricy than local restaurants that is but well worth it. The beach is rather rocky and unsuable but there are other beaches around coupled with lots of pools to use and lazy around on the hotel grounds. I found it comical the security guards salluting us military style everytime we were getting in and out of the resort but I guess they were just friendly. Top marks to the morning breakfast staff that were always there to help remembering our personal preferrances and the room service lady that was putting down our beds with a complimentary orchid each evening.
“Ko Lanta - Paradise Found”
I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to all. There is everything on site to make you feel welcome and at home. The Guest Relations team have all types of gadgets on loan that you may have left at home (chargers for mobile phones etc..) and have a extensive library of books and DVD's to help you pass the time - all at no extra charge. Breakfast was the best I experienced in Thailand with a buffet catering to all tastes and cultures. Other restaurants in the hotel were good, but expensive compared with the restaurants outside of the hotel, but cheaper compared to UK restaurants. The hotel has a travel agency who can help plan your tours and onward ferry/air connections around Thailand all for a reasonable cost. The only downside was that most staff did not have a good command of English - they knew the pleasantries, but once your request got a bit tricky, you encountered some frustrations. But after some hand signals and pointing, you got there in the end. The pools are amazing, there is a lap pool on top of the hill which offers beautiful views of the beach below. The grounds are well kept very tranquil. I went to Ko Lanta to chill in paradise and all my expectations were met and exceeded.
