“Fine hotel”

The room was smaller than I was expecting and was in a block that you access via a shop, which was quite confusing when arriving disorientated at night - there is no lobby (which is a shame) so you are greated at the bar area and shown to your room. For those who want to watch TV there are a lot of English cable channels. The proprieter and staff were very friendly and helpful though and it was a comfortable basic room with an excellent shower. The location is very good - just 5-10 minutes walk to the beach and the shops/restaurants. The hotel is on a road of just hotels so although our balcony faced the street we didn't get any external noise. Ao Nang is perfectly pleasant - lots of nice shops and restaurants. Something for those who want International or Thai food only. Most places do both and there are a few stalls near the hotel that do street food. It probably isn't 'authentic' thailand though if you're travelling and want to experience local life - I'd recommend it for families and tourists who want a beach, a boat and not too much walking. We had a great massage at I think it was called 'Blooming' down by the beach. Overall a fine hotel that's only really 2 star rather than 3 because it doesn't have a lobby and so has a weird route to get to the rooms.

“swiss chalet anong beach”

the hotel is within walking distance (5-10 min) of both beautiful beaches, the shopping & restaurants. There are tuk-tuks & scooters just outside the hotel. The food in the restaurant was good, but lots of other places nearby too The wi-fi did not work in one area so we were moved to another room with no problem
