Excellent location

Posted Jun 15, 2014
Pros: Location and space
Cons: Breakfast room and the offering.
Just of the main market square, so ideal position. I was there on a Thursday night and it was very quiet (I think!). Very large room, aircon (which eventually gave up and spat out ice before passing out), reasonable bed ( mattress a bit thin) and good bathroom. All you need really. breakfast a little spartan for some tastes, and space in the breakfast room a bit tight. That is the only weak spot really but considering they have squeezed the place into a tiny spot in the center of the old town. And if you are no good going up and down stairs it could be a bit of a challenge.

A nightmare

Posted Jun 8, 2014
Pros: Leaving
Cons: Get a manager who has the appropriate mental health, judgement, and tact for the job.
Location: The location was very central but then it was noisy because of all the tourist traffic day and night.
Some American guests had to be moved because their rooms were too noisy. The room was small and lacked basic furniture eg bench for suitcase and no desk for laptop, There is no lift to the rooms or basement breakfast room. Limited food was provided for the buffet breakfast. Worst of all was the manager who is TOTALLY unsuitable for the job. No one told me where to wait for my tour so I missed it.

Close to everything

We liked this hotel very much. Just a short distance to the castle in one direction and the main square in the other. The hotel was on the quiet end of a pedestrian only street and was very comfortable and charming. The staff were all very helpful. An airport pick- up was arranged, as well as our tour of the salt mines nearby.

2 nights stay

Posted Apr 30, 2014
Me and my friend stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. It was walking distance, 10 mins from the main train station right in the middle of old town with all the lovely shops and restaurants on our door step next to main square. The breakfast was basic but satisfactory, the room was quiet, spacious, moser and clean. I would stay there again.

The best location for exploring Krakow

Posted Mar 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Camea hotel. More serviced appartments than hotel there was 24 hour assistance available from reception if I needed it. The Wifi was incredibly good and the location was absolutely perfect for exploring Krakow - an easy walk from there to Main Square, Jewish Quarter, Schindler's Factory, Museum of Contemporary Art, Wawel Castle and more. I traveled alone and found the place to be safe, secure, near enough pubs to walk for a swift half but far enough away to be relatively quiet in the night (as quiet as Krakow gets anyway).

Great hotel and location, especially for the value

Posted Mar 7, 2014
The hotel was clean. The room was somewhat spacious. The staff was friendly. Breakfast and WiFi were complimentary. The location was great as it was two blocks from the Old Town Main Square. The cost of the hotel was very reasonable. The only downsides were that there was no elevator, there was poor lighting in the staircase, and my bed had an old mattress.

Pros: Hotel very close to the main square great location.

Location: As stated you can not get closer to the centre of this lovely city.
Non fuss central Hotel easy walk to railway station. Krakow very beautiful lots of actitives to keep everyone happy. Auswitzt is a must Salt mines very good as well. Great restaurants all around the city every taste catered for no negatives for me.

Great price for the stay!

Posted Apr 2, 2013
Pros: Incorporated modern technology with old style decor
Cons: Our rooms were still being cleaned when we arrived (were made aware and had an apology - only a minor inconvenience).
Location: Excellent location, literally a stones throw away from the town square.
The hotel was very well situated, right in the main town square. It was only a 5-10 minute walk to the train station, eliminating the cost of getting a taxi to the hotel. The hotel kept a lot of it's authentic features, old style walls, wooden floors and very authentic feel to the place. It did however incorporate card system access to the main entry door and all rooms inside, so you didn't need a key! The room itself was largely spacious and the beds were decently sized (2 singles pushed together however). Room was very clean, fresh towels daily and it was lovely and warm even in the snow. All staff were fluent in English and were helpful, the bar in the cellar was quite nice and quaint. For a hotel, and just for a place to stay between days out/excursions and site seeing, it really was a brilliantly priced hotel for the value it offered!

Overall excellent value. Easy to book trips to other sights. Most young people could speak some English which was useful.

Centrally-located, charming

Posted Sep 10, 2012 on Hotels.com
The hotel is located right in the historic downtown area, within minutes' walk of the castle, market place and train station. The rooms are large and well-appointed, apparently having been renovated very recently. Friendly front desk. Quiet at night. Drawbacks to be aware of: Breakfast starts at 8, so not so great if you need to leave early for the airport or train station. (The hotel will prepare a basic care package for you on request.) The breakfast is somewhat basic. If you're taller, you'll find that the desk in the room is not usable.
