“The Place to Stay”

This is a great place to stay. It is a 10 minute walk from the old town square as well as most other sites that you would want to see. For the price it was great! Very clean and very friendly staff!! I would highly recommend eating at the resturant in the hotel. Not only is it cheep but its very good. My mother in law who came to America from Poland was very inpressed and called it, "true authentic polish food". The resutrants in the old square are pretty pricy but you are paying for the atmospher not the food. When we go back we will definantly stay here!!!!

“Great location, Great Food,Great Price”

Four of us spent a long weekend at the Batory Hotel and found it a great base for our trip. Five to ten minutes from railway and bus station. Buffet Breakfast was great, plenty of choice. Rooms were reasonable size and spotless. TV, hairdryer, sky , safe, toiletries all provided.

“Lovely Hotel”

The Batory Hotel is in a good location - only a 10-minute walk to the Main Square. The rooms were clean, nicely decorated, comfortable and ours was particularly spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke good english. Would definitely stay here again.

“Spacious, in a convenient location”

This hotel is very conveniently located. At only ten minutes walking from Krakow's train and bus stations, walking there on arrival to the city is just a breeze. Walking to Krakow's beautiful downtown takes only 5 minutes, and you only need 10 minutes to get to the very popular Kazimierz Jewish neighborhood. Yet this hotel is placed on a very quiet street, so that you get the best of both worlds. The apartments in the annex section are very spacious. The accommodations are not fancy, but the rooms are in perfect condition and all the essentials are provided. Breakfast is varied and of good quality, and to top it all, the rates are more than fair.

“Near Downtown, but tucked away”

We were very impressed with the hotel, its staff and how nice our room was. We booked, unintentionally, during Pope Benedict's visit to Krakow, so it wasn't our first choice, but we were pleasently surprised. We were on the top floor (rm 33, I think) which had an outdoor balcony and was very roomy, not sure other rooms are like this, but it was nice! Only possibly negative is a hospital across the street, but we only heard ambulance sirens once or twice and never at night.

“Great family run hotel”

If you're looking for a relatively inexpensive, clean, well located hotel in a quiet residential area (so you can sleep at night!) then this is the one to book. Its a brisk 15 mins walk from the train station. Its also about 15 mins to walk to either the Main Square or Wawel Castle - all are very accessible. The hotel staff were very efficient & friendly. We arrived on a Sat night at 11pm & we were able to book for Auschwitz & Birkenau for the next morning at 9am. It cost a bit more than making your own way there, but its well worth not having the hassle. If you only have 48 hours in this city (we did & its long enough to see everything actually). This is one of the few hotels that the tour guides will come & pick you up from - but beware - they did not have a scheduled stop back at the hotel, so we got off at Wawel Castle. This wasn't really a problem, but had we known, we would have taken a map with us to find our way back to the hotel. Breakfast is pretty good, but I'd avoid the dodgy looking sausages! It sets you up for the day anyway. Realy rated this hotel very highly. We would stay again & I've already recommended it to a colleague whose going to Krakow.

“Great Hotel”

We stayed in one of the Hotels chalet type rooms with our own front door, next to the car park. It was nice and spacious, it had two rooms with comfortable beds and dining table and chairs and bathroom, which was excellent. We were amazed by the choice of breakfast items on offer in the Main Hotel. The Hotel has a restaurant which served lovely Polish food. It is a bonus as the nearest restaurants are in the Old Square district.

“Batory”

Very nice hotel. Not the cheapest but I say you get what you pay for. It was within walking distance of the old town and within walking distance of the mall and train station. This was important because we took a train down from Warsaw. A pleasant surprise was the quality of the food....excellent (and I have 2 picky kids). They made adjustments to the menu which was nice for my youngest who is a typical pick 8 tear old from America. My one complaint would be the availability of WI-FI. I was able to get it in the lobby area but not the restaurant nor my room. Still overall a great experience.....

“Excellent.”

Having updated the rooms since our last visit, we were very impressed with the standard of the rooms. Only disappointment is no kettle and coffee in the room. Breakfasts were excellent again with a brilliant range of options from cooked and cold meats and cereals. Taxi from hotel to the airport booked through the hotel was well priced, I only wish we had phoned the hotel to get a pick up from the airport as we were ripped off getting to Krakow. The hotel is well placed, just outside the city walls so it is very quiet but an absolute doddle to walk anywhere within 15 mins from the castle to the jewish quarter. Very near to the railway station if you need it but all trips and tours can be booked through the hotel and be picked up from the hotel. Only problem is that you have to pay cash for the trips - no credit or debit cards but there is a cashpoint next to the front door so no problem. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough
