Good locationPosted Sep 27, 2014
Pros: Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Room was clean, with plenty of space to move around in, or sit on the settee to watch the TV. Free WiFi
Cons: No extra pillows in the room, so used the blanket instead. Duvet lightweight, & plenty warm enough without the addition of a blanket (late September)
Location: Situated near the Floryan Gate, not far from the Market Square, in a pedestrian area. Wawel Castle well worth a visit. Trips to Salt Mine & Auschwitz.
Booked taxi from airport by arranging it with the hotel, as cheaper than through Experian - you pay the driver direct. We booked the return journey when we arrived at the hotel. The staff speak good English, and are anxious to please, including any dietary requirements. The hotel entrance would be easy to miss at street level, but once inside, it opens up, and goes back a long way. Hotel has 3 floors, but no lift - just think of it as the start of a 'get fit' regime. There are 71 steps to the third floor, and the quiet rooms are at the back of the hotel. Beware of the sloping ceiling at one end of the room on the third floor! Hot water 24/7, and good water pressure from the shower. Good value for money with breakfast & free WiFi included. Would definitely recommend.

KrakowPosted Sep 19, 2014
Pros: Proximity to main Old town square and safe smart street location.
Cons: As above, public areas in hotel.
Location: Ideal close to everything.
Great location 200 metres down smart street from main Old town square, public facilities let the hotel down. depressing décor and arrangement in dining room and cramped bar area. Bedroom and bathroom (shower only) totally acceptable though narrow area for double bed requiring one sleeping partner to climb in from bottom of bed..

Good locationPosted Sep 17, 2013
Pros: Location, restaurant and staff.
Cons: Stale smell from plumbing.
Location: Excellent access to Old Town, literally on the doorstep. Plenty of restaurants nearby.
Large room at front of hotel, with double bed, 2 armchairs and sofa. Lots of wardrobe space. Large bathroom (with shower). Near to both the main square and the railway station for access to the airport. Helpful reception and restaurant staff; all spoke very good English. Breakfast included and perfectly adequate. Ate two other meals in the restaurant and found the food very good. Downside was noise from drunken groups in the street outside until 5.30am on Saturday night. Quieter during the week. No lift so beware if you have mobility issues. Bed was very firm and also a bit low.

In a good positionPosted Sep 13, 2013
Pros: Its position so near to everything and the helpful staff
Cons: The rooms could do with a little more character
Location: It is near the centre of the old town, there are plenty of shops and eateries nearby.
The hotel is in a good position being in the centre of the old town. It is only ten minutes from the bus and train stations. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were small but clean. There is no lift so rooms on the top floor are quite a climb. The breakfast was good.

comfortable, clean hotel in main part of the cityPosted Aug 29, 2013
Pros: Primarily the courtesy of the staff, the cleanliness of the room and the generous selection of food and drinks at breakfast.
Cons: Room service might be an option and, disappointingly, there were no coffee/tea making facilities in the room. A better selection of alcoholic drinks.
Location: Being located in the Old Town is of primary significance. In addition there are many attractions within easy walking distance.
Main purpose of trip was to visit Auschwitz and Birkenau before relaxing in what emerged as a lovely city full of character. In general, the prices of food and drink in the city were very reasonable and the quality of the food was good. The glass of wine measuring 10cl. was puzzling given that U.K. measures are 175ml. and 250 ml. However, that is a minor issue and did not detract in any way from the total enjoyment of the three-night break.

Perfect location and pleasant stayPosted Aug 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel is a 5-10 min walk from the main train/bus station and is nicely situated at the north end of Krakow's old town. We arrived at Hotel Floryan at 0730 after taking an overnight train to Krakow and were checked into our room immediately. Needless to say, the hotel staff went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. After reading the reviews, we requested and were booked a room that does not face the street (the front of the hotel is on a very busy pedestrian street) and outside noise was not a problem. The room itself was mostly comfortable and about what we would expect for the price we paid. Wifi is free and works fine. Only complaint is the free breakfast is not great. Would definitely stay here again!
