“Excellent value”

After looking through the available hotels in Krakow, this was a reasonably priced hotel that turned out to be extremely clean and modern and in a great location. It's right next to Wawel Hill and only a 10 minute walk to the Market Square. All areas of the hotel were clean and modern. The restaurant served a good breakfast and we had no complaints during our stay. Would definitely recommend this to others as great value for the price.

“Krakow”

We stayed here in June and found the hotel to be well located overall. Right next to the Castle and river, easy walking distance to the old town square. The hotel is in great condition and looks like it has just been renovated. Rooms were fairly basic but had everything and very clean. Hotel staff very friendly. Breakfast average at best. Beer costs 8z in the hotel bar which seems quite good. Hotel roof bar looks great but it rained & was closed due to a concert being held, restayrant bar has nice feel to it. Krakow is VERY cheap compared to England. Recommended.

“A good hotel in a good location”

We found the hotel to be very comfortable with excellent staff and service and a very good breakfast. The location is good - right next to the Wawel Castle with only a few minutes to walk into the Town Square.

“Excellent budget hotel.”

Receptionists at the hotel went out of their way to be helpful. Their recommendations for restaurants were superb. Room was small and simple, but very clean with comfortable beds, tea-making equipment and clean, new bathroom. Breakfast buffet had hot food, cereals, meats, fruit, yoghurts - everything you could want, simply presented. Good position near castle. Short walk to town centre. Very good value for money.

We chose this hotel on the basis of expedia recommendations, and have to agree with the others. Great location just a few minutes walk from the main square, excellent breakfasts, helpful staff, clean room (with the ubiquitous twin beds) and everlasting hot water with good shower pressure which I rate as important after a day in -8degrees C! Our room 407 was a corner room with 2 walls of windows so the views of the castle and river were just gorgeous, worth the extra payment. Highly recommended.

“Just fabulous!”

Stayed Fri - Mon. Perfect location next to the river and castle and only 10 mins or so from the Rynek market square. Hotel very clean and comfortable and the only reason I give a 4 for comfort is because the air con was a little noisy and there is building work outside - a little running track is being rebuilt with underground parking. Will be finished by next year I would have thought. We were on the third floor and it only disturbed us on Monday morning as they did not work at the weekend. Breakfast good, rooftop bar good, food delicious. Don't bother with the happy hour deal - it only includes 1 type of beer, the house wine, 1 type of vodka and fruit juices.

“good value hotel”

This was a very pleasant experience as this was the first time that we had visited Krakow, and the time that we spent in the Hotel Pod Wawelem was excellent. The staff were very helpful and food in the hotel was excellent. Overall a very pleasant experience and would definitely go back to this hotel.

This was our first time to Poland and though we are seasoned travellers we were fortunate enough in choosing this hotel based on other reviews. The situation of the hotel is within a short walk of the castle and other historical sites. Transport facilities were close to the hotel for those wishing to venture further afield. The food, service and situation of this hotel makes it an excellent choice.
