“Old world Charm”

The Hotel Pollera is not for those visitors or tourists seeking the bland anonimity of the modern multinational hotels, neither is it for those who expect the every creature comfort of their own home to be provided, nor, for that matter is for those who believe that receptionists and staff are their servants who should paint their faces with false smiles and pepper their language with bland "have a nice day". The Pollera is a hotel with old world charm and elegance. The staff, always helpful and willing to be engaged, provide a polite Polish service. The rooms, perhaps a little stark by some standars I found comfortable and pleasant. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty and the restuarant served some very good Polish food in the evening. The taxis they arranged were prompt and cheaper than those colleagues used from other hotels. The location superb in the heart of the old town. When I return to Krakow I have every intention of staying at my new favourite Polish hotel; the Pollera.

“Charming and reasonably priced”

A charming hotel in an outstanding location. The rooms have the feel of old Krakow, but also modern conveniences. The housekeeping staff was excellent. The price is reasonable. The front desk staff are mercurial - at times friendly, at times downright sour. The breakfast is minimal and those who are responsible for it do just enough to be able to call it a breakfast. It was April and some days were cool and rainy, and the room temperature was borderline uncomfortable. The rooms along the streets can be noisy especially when the drunks are thrown out of the nearyby bars and nightclubs at 4 or 5 AM. Still a good place to stay.

“Would not hesitate to recommend”

Hotel is ideal for sightseeing, very close to the major tourist areas and easily accesible. The hotel itself is like stepping back in time but is clean with very comfortable beds! The breakfast is simple but fresh and plentiful. The staff cannot do enough to help and are extremely courteous.
