“Excellent Service!”
I loved the Hotel Rubinstein. As soon as we arrived we were warmly greated by the hotel staff. They were extremely accomodating and very helpful. The restaurant was very good. Breakfast was great! It was a nice walk into the center of town. I enjoy walking so it was a great location for me. It was the kind of place that you feel immediately comfortable because of the excellent guest service you receive. One of the bell staff even walked with me to a parking lot around the corner in order to make sure I found my way back to the hotel. (there are a lot of one way streets and even though it was a very quick walk to the lot it was confusing) This was certainly above and beyond. I would have no question in my mind. If I ever find myself back in Krakow I will definitely stay again at the Hotel Rubinstein!
“An enjoyable retreat in a hurly-burly city!”
We weren't as impressed with Krackow as we expected to be, but the Hotel Rubinstein (and the jewish enclave where it is situated) were definitely the jewel in the slightly tarnished crown.
“Perfect spot in Krakow”
Really enjoyed it! The meals were great and the staff extraordinarily helpful. And fabulous value for money. Would go back in a heartbeat.
“Excellent Hotel”
Staff spoke English and were very helpful.
“Bliss in Kracow”
Wonderful location. Eat and drink on square in front of the hotel. You can walk to all the major sites or take a tour (golf cart) ride to them. The hosts were freindlhy and helpful and made good friends with other travelers. Don't miss watching the stars on the roof. Cheers
“World Class in Krakow”
We've traveled widely but did not know what to expect in Poland. The hotel was a fully and recently renovated building right on the main square in the Jewish quarter. The quality of the room (including air conditioning) was excellent - spacious even by US standards. Breakfast was comprehensive pan-european (something for everyone). The on-site restaurant was excellent for dinner as well. The staff arranged trips to the salt mine and Auschwitz which worked out well. Krakow is a very walkable city and the hotel is convenient to many sites, including the new Schindler's Factory museum. Highly satisfied; excellent value.
“Interesting hotel.”
Good location, classy hotel, well remodeled, unique, good breakfast.
“Perfect in Krakow”
I recently stayed three nights in Krakow and couldn't recommend this hotel more highly. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and they speak good English, which is a big plus since I have no Polish! The location is perfect on a great square with lots of culture and dining options and then you're in the heart of Krakow's artsy district and just a short walk from the main square. I would certainly stay here again if I find myself Krakow.
“Krakow's Gem of a Hotel”
I was very pleased with my recent stay at the Rubinstein. The staff was very attentive of our needs and went above and beyond the call of duty to make our stay enjoyable. Iwana at the front desk was extremely helpful in assisting us with our needs. The restaurant service was first class as was the dining. I recommend this hotel to persons visiting Krakow and would stay there again with my family.
“Great Location-Great Food”
Hotel offers comfort, friendly service, good meals, excellent breakfast, variety of restaurants within walking distance, and convenience to Jewish Quarter attractions and off-site tours. From the airport, hire a car person to pick you up to bring you to your hotel - do same on return; one block walk to Hotel Ester to hop onto 8:50 a.m. shuttle for Auschwitz/Salt Mine tours; about a 5 block walk to New Cemetery (a must see) in Jewish Quarter; variety of restaurants within square; very polite staff willing to attempt speaking English; very quiet in the evenings. Bathrooms are beautiful; shower is great; and beds are semi-soft. When you are done with your tours, they drop you off about 6 blocks away (safe area) but you are expected to find your way back to your hotel. The Crakow tours are on time; fast; and well done - reserve through Expedia and have hotel confirm you'll be at Hotel Ester waiting to be picked up (one block away). If we had to stay at this hotel again ... we would as it was just a "perfect" everything. When we were dropped off at the Wawel Castle (after Salt Mine tour) - they couldn't bring us back to our hotel -- however -- there was either a taxi or city tour golf cart at the bottom of the hill ... either option will get you back to the hotel inexpensively. It is about a 1 mile walk back to hotel from the Castle. Castle and cathedral (crypts and tombs) are worth seeing - you'll need to purchase tickets to go in.
